Bit of clarity needed here to the NUFC takeover. Whilst there was obviously lobbying by the Saudis to the Government it made no difference to the EPL as the takeover didn't go through until 12 months later. There was also lobbying by the Big 6 and the owner of PSG to stop the Newcastle takeover. It took an Anti Competition lawsuit and the Saudis to pay Bein Sports £1bn to go through. Got no problem with the Qataris owning you, its down to jealousy why it would be stopped. We can call Sovereign states owning clubs bad but the biggest danger to football is American Ownership. They were at the forefront of the European Super League
