   Giroux is an ageless wonder! When that contract was signed, I think we all knew the first couple seasons would be solid, but I questioned if that 3rd year would be an anchor for the team. He has definitely outperformed my expectations for this year; I assumed 65-70 points in year 1, but he's already at 78!

   After this season, I no longer have concerns about the final year of his contract. My only question is if he'll re-sign in Ottawa after his current contract is done!

   I’ve been saying the same thing about DeBrincat for about a month now: Dude is pushing 30 goals on the second line of a new team, with a rookie Pinto as his centerman.

   Now think of how many posts his hit, and how snake bitten he was so many times. He’s still a 40 goal caliber guy imo. I’d love to see them try Alex on the RW of that first line with Stü and Chucky. G played some LW in Philly. Try him with Norris and Bath.

   Years ago the ST. Laurent shopping center had a $.05 charge to use the washroom, I remember I only had dimes and had to get change to get the damn door open!

   Carolina definitely wanted to win last night – they're in danger of slipping to a position making their 1st round opponent much tougher (NYR rather than WC).

   Everybody took a shit on that West Coast trip can't blame one guy.Very rarely does a sniper switch teams and make an immediate impact? Proven goal scorers are very hard to come by.

    with the projected lineup at minute 43, I don't see that lineup as good enough to make the playoffs especially the way most of these guys are prone to injuries. Example: Chychrun has never played more than 50 games due to injuries. Lets not forget Buffalo and Detroit are improving and will be in the wildcard mix next year. Just a tough division to be in.

    DeBrincat will return and most likely on a 7 or 8 contract for $8M at most. I don't know why people are flipping out so much over it. If they need to qualify him, they will. Dorion won't give him $9M on a contract, and obviously, he's not worth that much. Brannstrom is very interesting because he is a great bottom pair guy to have, but there is a great chance he may be dealt. Wouldn't be shocked if it happened. But more than anything we need to fix the bottom 6 and find a goaltender, and Sogaard isn't a solution just yet. Greig can fill a hole, but I wouldn't like him on the 3rd line. He can play down the middle, or maybe on the wing. Gauthier must be kept as the 4RW. As for paying Sanderson, it should not be an issue because the cap will be going up and nearly $3.5M in dead cap will be freed up after Bobby and Matt Murray's cap hits go away. So I wouldn't be worried that much.

    Wally with a Great Question about Chabot! Do we make space in the top 4 by trading Chabot, it gives cap space and room for younger guys and space to sign Sanderson and Chychrun going forward, but you lose Chabot. Great Show! Cant Wait for New Ownership, but the Next Show is up there too.

    Hey Yorkie and Bobby, I was just wondering if in one of your episodes you could talk about the niches and nuances of playing in ottawa? I know everyone says canadian markets are considered hard to play in but was it really that stressful in ottawa? I’ve just always been curious 🙂

    Also if we trade chabby that would be awful. That guy was here and signed when no one else would so if we toss him aside that would be a bad look on us.

    Great show!
    Claude Giroux has been the best thing about this season, for me. I love his intensity!!! Effort! Brains! Humility! Heart! Grit! Old School! Throwback! He's the entire package, and last night was my personal #1 moment, with all the players around him…such a nice thing to happen.
    Just get good goaltending next year, and stay away from the MASH unit, and this team is gonna freak you all out, how quickly they go from zero to sixty!!

    Worse case scenario with cat is the sens play for the playoffs/cup and he walks….. not great situation but they're in to win now. Nine million freed up at the end of next year is a win as well
