It’s not betrayal it’s the same thing as allowing the Chineese tour the European tour top amateurs and so forth they earned it to be there no matter what tour they play on
well the open is the open if it doesn't include the best players it is not the open
LIV has about a dozen world class players. That makes their 54 hole spectacles nothing more than exhibitions. Their blood money funded experimental league will live and die with world ranking points. How can you award points for playing glorified silly season events.
