As much as how great Luka is, he don’t have the leadership and versatility that LeBron has.
Maybe Luka just ain’t all that great. LeBron at this age would dragged that team the finals.
All of them had great teams around them? Lebron had Big Z and some other mediocre at best players in year 5. Stop making excuses, he failed this year.
In order to win, he is gonna have to give up the ball more and let his teammates do some work, he is a bit of a ball hog. He is a top 4 player but he has more holes in his game than Giannis, Embiid, or Jokic, he needs to put more energy in on defense

100% on mark/donnie/nico/management/ownership. Yeah Luka can play a little better on defense and play off ball a bit more.
Mavs lineups are dogwater. Worst bigman rotation in the NBA. And a team full of players that can't do anything other than shoot 3s (sometimes).
Top it off with a horrendous coach who is an absolute dumbass (Kidd) and you have this awesome season.

Honestly, the fault is Luka here. If you ever watch a game with the nba app, they have a star player cam which means it's always on Luka and he gives you nothing when he doesn't have the ball and nothing on defense. He nearly leads the league in scoring, has high rebounds due to this shot chucking era, and he pads for assists. The worst is him out of a play because he's complaining to the refs because he's never committed a foul and definitely gets fouled every time he has the ball. Add that to the carrying and traveling and you have a product of the NBA. The mass produced super star who won't win a chip unless he learns to play a team game.
With that said… can we talk about how Kyrie accused the Nets of being dysfunctional yet here we are with another team in chaos because bro can dribble. He nukes evey team he goes to and all I have to say is, I'd still trade Gobert for him and give Dallas the picks they lost lol
Just never should've brought in Kyrie. He has so much more to go as superstar but that's kinda disrupted by Kyrie joining the team. Obviously there's no issue between them but the way I see it Luka looks really lost in his role since Kyrie can pretty much take over. It's something he'll never admit but it's so obvious when he said he isn't happy anymore. It's tough when you're the main guy then all of a sudden another superstar comes to your team and can match or even exceed your output.
Luka needs to work on his antics badly. He´s behaving like a soccer diva and it has become THE PROBLEM. He just signed a max deal and it can be expected of him to live up to that contract. From a skill standpoint there´s no doubt that he can but his discipline regarding his defense, diet and antics is just frustrating to watch as a Mavs fan. He better puts in some work this summer
