Masters In DANGER? Bombshell SHOCKS The Golf World!

The Masters Golf Tournament is one of the biggest golf events in the world, eagerly anticipated by fans of the sport. The Masters is held every year at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, and this year it will take place from April 6 to 9. In 2023, the Masters has invited athletes who left the PGA Tour for the LIV Golf.

Augusta National has announced that LIV players will be allowed to participate in the tournament. Although the Masters is not happy with the issues between the PGA and LIV, they have decided to maintain the tradition of bringing together the world’s best athletes, regardless of which Tour they are participating in.

All athletes who meet Augusta National’s qualification criteria will be invited. This decision has caused a backlash from a group known as 9/11 Families United, which advocates for survivors and families of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. They have threatened to protest at the Masters if the decision is upheld. A change in qualification criteria in the coming years is not ruled out. We will analyze all the details in this video.

  1. What Mr. Ridley has done is commendable as it goes to the principle he stated that the best golfers would be invited. The Masters is NOT a PGA Tour staged event and the PGAT has done nothing from day 1 but throw verbal vitriol at the LIV. The PGAT has acted as if it has a de facto monopoly on professional golf and that any former members who left for the LIV are "traitors." Hmm…have you ever left a job you had for another that paid better? That's really all the LIV has done for its members and the PGAT Commissioner, Jay Monahan, has been acting as if he is an absolute ruler, like Stalin in the old Soviet Union. The PGAT has also had much media support, notably from the so-called Golf Channel ("The Official Channel of the PGA Tour") whose announcers, most notably Eamon Lynch, Damon Hack (whose surname is most apt), and Brandel Chamblee – whose ego is about the size of the Goodyear blimp – have taken every opportunity to trash the LIV and its golfers since its inception. I don't recall any of them trashing Augusta's tradition of inviting notable amateurs from around the world and the PGAT should be as accepting of LIV players as they are of the amateurs, IMO.
Let's remember, the PGA Tour has only existed since 1968 when it split from the PGA of America but the PGAT has grown to where it considers itself "the only game in town" and now it finds that it's not. I was hoping that Mr. Ridley could act as a mediator between the two Tours but that may be too difficult even for him. Maybe someone should get 2 of those popular bumper stickers that say "COEXIST" and send 1 to Jay Monahan and 1 to Greg Norman. One can only hope that cooler heads will eventually prevail.
