Basically this shows all your posts of new clubs are utterly useless 🤦🏻♂️😂. Buying good quality second hand clubs is always the way to go but I don’t think it’s going to be as good when todays thin faced easily marked clubs hit the second hand market. I had some 2022 P790’s and they looked worse than my 30 year old Taylormade blades after 2 months 😩
I still game that Odyssey Rossie 2 putter…..had it since 1998. Changed the grip a few times though. I also gamed the r7 Superquad driver until January this year when I upgraded to a Ping G series driver which is still a good 7 years old.
I'm looking to buy the Takomo 101T's, but I have never had a club fitting so I'm not sure what I should have regular or shift. I'm 65 and have a 16.8 handicap. Can you help me?
Thanks for this video but I tried hitting my old 1965 Wilson staff x-31 blades and they didn't fair quite as well as Lou's used set. After the first strike I thought I would have to go to the emergency room.
I've bought and traded several clubs and sets from Lou's. Kevin aka "Lou" gives the best deals. If you buy clubs and trade them a few months later, you feel you paid a great price to try them. So before you buy 'blades' go get you a used set at Lou's and if you don't like them, sell them back to Lou's. It will be worth the price at Lou's to give them a try.
A few of these treasure stores remain. I enjoy one in Destin, FL, National Golf Outlet. They always have thousands of clubs and will go that extra mile to ensure your happiness. I've purchased many old Ping putters from them.
For your info, James, the deal you got at Lou's was solidly good but not unheard-of. It's amazing to me how cheap you can get equipment if you look for condition and specifications rather than brand new and a specific brand and model.
Touts the latest and “greatest” from every manufacturer for the past month+. Plays the same golf with 10+ year old sticks. Seems like there’s a lesson in there somewhere.
One, maybe those reviews are more “paid endorsements”. Or at the very least, “hey, we’ll send you free stuff if you say how amazing it is.”
Two, in spite of all the miraculous things new models claim to do each and every year. Golfers basically play the exact same golf.
I play off 2.6 index and the only clubs I buy new are my 56 and 60 degree wedges. Even those I buy the previous model as they're usually 20% less than the new release. My driver and fairway wood is a 2018 release, irons from 2015, wedges and putter from 2020.
Hey James, I think that one of the iron you played with is the Taylormade Rac MB, a classic. I have an old set of iron like that in my basement. I think they weere made around 2005. I always tell myself that I should play them again.

Well done James how price has changed over the years 👏 👍
Still here James
Did you consider the 5 iron for the second shot on the par 5? Safer option? 🤷♂️
🤔 maybe I should’ve paid for lessons instead of $500 drivers and $300 woods and hybrids.
Get that TM r7 460 out …used to have that driver loved it❤
Waiting anxiously for the iron comparison
Glad to see Lou's Golf is still around I spent alot of time and money there over the years I always felt that club prices were fair there
Can you show the TM logo on the irons one more time .

These new clubs are marginally better.

I’m curious on the bar story. I live in Dallas, lots of “interesting” places to get a drink in the area.
Gonna have to visit Lous next time im in Dallas.
great find! I miss my Rossi II
Lou’s is the best golf shop in America. Kevin is a great dude.
Still here
What clubs are they exactly??
The TaylorMade RAC TP Combo's are great irons!
Still here and those irons still look good, well played James
