PGA Tour Player Stealth 2 Plus Driver and Fairway Wood Fitting | TrottieGolf

Dean Wilson is back for Part 2 of his TaylorMade club fitting at the Kingdom Carlsbad and this is one you don’t want to miss.

Dean pushes the limits on launch conditions using the TrackMan device to identify the optimum ball speed for him when on the golf course and discovers his potential boundaries where he can gain yardage yet still maintain control.

The initial part of the video covers his Stealth 2 plus Fairway wood fitting and the ease at which good players can work into the perfect club for their game.

There’s a lot to learn in this video about how to manage your golf game, combined with working with your fitter for the perfect set up.

  1. Could watch these fittings all day Trottie. My dream is to join you at the kingdom for a day, even if I was there to throw the trash out 😆😆

  2. Trotti off topic question. When u soft step x100s you put the wedge/9i shaft in the wedge or the 8i shaft?

Obviously 8i would keep the set more “factory” but essentially isn’t the PW already softstepped in a standard set?

  3. Awesome, no doubt an Athlete makes fittings easier, love his soft hands changing direction, lag, whip that club right into a perfect path in my eyes, Beautiful Swing!! nice job guys Thank you

  4. I’m more than two decades younger than Dean, currently in my prime and relatively fit. And he just effortlessly added +15 mph ball speed in a couple swings to equal my game speed lol. His movement is so fluid and he doesn’t look like he’s even going 100% while pushing his comfort zone. Impressive stuff fun to watch. Also Trottie showing why he’s the best in the business having all the clubs fit perfectly before he even shows up no changes needed.

  5. awesome review… i am trying to decide between the Stealth 2 plus and the standard Stealth 2….. I am 58 with a 88-94 mph swing speed ..hit a fairly straight high ball with a 2800 to 3300 spin and am a 8-10 handicap……does a slower swing speed still fit into a stealth plus … which one do you think would be most practical for me and maybe get my spin down ?….am looking at a UST PROFORCE V2 HL regular flex shaft also… thx cheers ffrom Vulcan Alberta

  6. Thanks Trottie..Dean is a peach..he has a game speed to keep it in play, but he has so much more. We all should take lesson from Dean…more isn’t necessary..

  7. Awesome to see the results of a true fitting. Have been fitted multiple times inside a fitting bay and never panned out. Playing sim2 max D with Speeder shaft. Very low draw ball not what I have played for years. Love the high fade!

  8. its fun to see these middle of the road guys i grew up watching… the names you would see on a leaderboard occasionally but never know anything about them. and find out 2 decades later through social media they are awesome guys with gorgeous swings (and fucking sticks, obviously). amazing what things like youtube bring us.

  9. This was another fun one. I really liked the way you (or your editor) snuck in that last funny exchange between you and Dean during the outro. Good stuff.

  10. How does the driver shaft he's using compare to the Ventus Blue TR? Are more guys on tour using the Ventus Blue TR compared to last year? It seems some have swapped last year's Black out for the Blue TR. Thoughts? I swapped out my old Tensei White Raw X for the Ventus Blue TR 6X… night and day, mate. No wonder you like starting fittings with that brand.

  11. thanks Trottie amazing content. Can you maybe make a video about the different shaft options tailor-made has.For example KBS, Nippon or True Temper?

  12. Hey trottie I’m having trouble know what clubs to hit from the fairway after the ball lands wherever it lands. I don’t know know if I’m over hitting it or under hitting it. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks buddy. Keep doing what your doing.

  13. have another question for you or anyone that knows……i want to order the SIM 2 MAX but can only order it stock online…..once i get it can i take it into any golf shop and get 1.25 inches cut off so its 44 1/2 inches and a midsize grip put on.? …. my reason for going with the SIM 2 MAX instead of the STEALTH 2 is price and is it really that better….SIM 2 MAX ( 500 Canadian ) STEALTH 2 ( 800 Canadian )…is this the way to go do you think….welcome all thoughts ….cheers from Canada
