Criticize Phil all you want, but his initial comments that started the firestorm were correct. He said that a competitive tour was the only way to force the PGA to increase pay and that they were holding back. He was dead right.

Mickelson is quite happy with his legacy as it is, is quite comfortable in his own skin, and is quite happy having made the move to LIV Golf, with zero regrets about it.

I heard just the opposite from one of the guys at the dinner. That he was very talkative. So who do we believe here? Obviously you guys like the story of creating some drama around the Tour and LIV, but from what I heard from a two time champion Phil talked quite a bit.

They won't admit it, but Phil Mickelson changed professional golf by going to LIV. He is a GREAT ambassador of the game. The PGA Tour shot themselves in the foot by going scorched earth and banning these guys.
