A billionaire needs to step up and make a new racing division that removes all these 1D10TIC rules. So basically just chassis overall dimensions and safety rules and THATS IT. Would be a financial jump too because F1 would lose half its followers to the new division when the proper F1 drivers switch and everyone realised how slow F1 is compared to what is possible.
They fly to more and more places every year, with huge amounts of hardware. In the grand scheme of F1, tyre warmers account for a negligible amount of energy. And unless there's a plan in place to develop slicks that come up to temperature faster (which is another slug of energy), it's an unsafe measure.
Environment concerns??? Private jets, trucks, fuel emissions, hybrid car battery production humanitarian issues etc. The list goes on but are all less if concern than chuffing tyre blankets π
