The 101st Valero Texas Open tees off at TPC San Antonio after an exciting start to the PGA TOUR’s turn through Texas at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. One of the season’s most historic events features a strong mix of established names and up-and-comers. Rickie Fowler is teeing it up, eager to return to the Masters. Fowler has seen promising signs this season, ranking 25th in the FedExCup Standings, but will need a win to avoid missing a third consecutive Masters Tournament. J.J. Spaun, fresh off an appearance in the Round of 16 last week, returns to the site of his first PGA TOUR title. Spaun is looking to become the first golfer to defend his Valero Texas Open title since Zach Johnson in 2008-09. Meanwhile, former Masters winner Hideki Matsuyama is in the field after withdrawing at Austin Country Club due to injury and Matt Kuchar, who tied Tiger Woods’ record for most victories in tournament history last week, is also in action.

  1. Interesting to see what the Canadians on tour like Conners, Hughes and Taylor do in the the next few years. They all have 2 wins and are playing solid atm…

  2. Congratulations on a great win… I see that the world's greatest golfer Jordan spieth didn't even play in this tournament well I guess hes too much of a big shot he doesn't need to show up for the Pions.. I suppose he thinks he has a chance for the masters well the problem with that is all the great players will be there so he probably won't even make it for the cut at the 2nd day and I guarantee you he'll never make it to the top 25…
