  1. Which bespoke or smaller brand bikes would you like to see featured in a most desirable poll? 🚲👇

  2. Concerning the massive chain rings. Ganna and others don't need those humongous chain rings, because they want the massive 70-11 gear. It's more so that they can avoid using the smaller cogs and therefore stay in the middle of the cassette and keep the chain in more of a straight line, thereby having better drivetrain efficiency.
Of course it only works well on flat routes, otherwise they'll die on the hills.

  3. Don’t like the “jelly mould” forks on the Dogma. Based purely on functionality it has to be the top iteration of the Specialized Tarmac. On aesthetics, one of the Italian brands other than Pinarello.

  4. The painting from the last bike vault entry is in reference to a couple events early on during Russia's invasion of Ukraine. A Ukrainian soldier on Snake Island responded "Russian warship, go fuck yourself" to a radio message from the ship shown in that painting. The Russians did take Snake Island but the Ukrainians took it back and that same ship was destroyed later on in the war.

  5. Hey Ollie and Clive. That picture above the bianchi from the last entry on the bike vault is an iconic Ukrainian stamp honoring and depicting the defenders of Snake Island at the start of Russia’s invasion saying “Russian warship, go f*@k yourself!”

  6. Do a region by region voting of small batch bikes, i.e Italian bikes, American bikes, benelux bikes etc

  7. Believe you can do small conpany bike pull easear and more reliable way. All bike smashed in one pull, but let choose 3, 4 or 5 of them instead of one. This way it easia to chose to voters, and you going to get verry clear picture, what bikes choosen more often.
P.S. There should be supernice picture of every presented bike, because of small amount of them going to be recognisable.

  8. Trigons parent company Great Go Cycles manufacture Pinarello. RIP Discovery when Pinarello come to sue GCN for slightly hinting this 😂

  9. my guess with regards to the burning warship and a soldier flipping the finger: this is related to the Ukrainian war and the incident on the snake-island with the iconic quote of a Ukrainian-soldier towards a Russian warship to f***-off.

  10. The most desirable bike competition was clearly fixed as the REAL most desirable bike in the world, the Eurobike, was not even entered into the competition.

  11. Need to have is most desirable endurance bike. Maybe it is my age but I am done with fast race bikes. I am in for comfort for long rides now. Roubaix and Synapse are my two road bikes I ride the most now. My crit bikes just collect dust with my cross bike.

  12. I would to see the most desirable gravel bike competition
More and more riders choose gravel now

  13. With a Cannondale and a Bianchi Oltre XR4 in the garage, I have to admit that I find my son's Cannondale far more comfortable on long rides and better in the wet with disc brakes, even if it is marginally slower than my celeste, rim brake, Italian princess. For me, the correct answer to the poll is to have two desirable bikes to choose from.

  14. Most desirable bike… whenever I see or think of a Pinarello, I cannot stop but think of how Harriet called it “Pinarelli thingy” 😅

  15. 14:17 Ollie gets confused between hundreds and thouands of dollars. Apparently still struggling with the idea of a $15,000 bicycle!

  16. #AskGCNTech Hi beautiful tech nerds! Why is it that bike manufacturers are still not addressing the major problem of integrated storage? I believe many of us could appreciate a solution like the Trek Speedconcept toptube integrated fuel storage. Do you think this kind of tech could spill over from triathlon to road bikes?

  17. Completely depends what you want in a bike. It’s like comparing Ferrari and Lexus. One is super exclusive, fast, an artistic marvel of engineering. The other is dependable, reliable, solid and never lets you down. Think Dogma F vs Caad13. 🤷
