  1. If we don’t play against the Greeks with the same energy I’m out.

  2. Yeah we lost 1nil but I didn't think at any stage we were falling apart or exposed badly so that's progress. Now we need to have a crack at Greece and the Netherlands and get some points on the board.

  3. The best performance under Kenny is a low bar to clear. Anyway, onwards. We need to beat Greece. No more excuses. No more delusion.

  4. LOL the old dude doesn't know who Mike Maignan is literally the best goalkeeper in the Seri A in Italy and probably the best goalkeeper right now in a world, with him France would be back to back world champion.

  5. Qualification is what we are judged on …. Let’s face it if we lose in Greece then qualification is more or less gone… same as last World Cup qualifying when we lost our first 2 games…. Mondays performance was excellent but let’s not get carried away

  6. The late great Ray Kennedy started out as a very good striker at Arsenal who became an outstanding midfield player in a great Liverpool side

  7. We did well just one bad mistake, but we are heading in the right direction. Stephen Kenny had to start from scratch, people want instant success like instant coffee, no quick fixes , This is a new team , Rome was not built in a day. There is a time when you should not play out from the back , and players need to know when .Ireland have the potential of being a decent side .It took a bad mistake for France to score, Bazuno had a reasonably quiet night .Ireland deserved a draw. French keeper won't make a better save , it was freakish .

  8. I'm glad I heard from someone who's opinion I respect .
After hearing Johnny Giles it begs the question , what is the problem with Brian Kerr and Co ?

  9. I think psychologically this was a very important match. I could be wrong; but I sense this as a breakthrough. We've some very talented young players who have gotten battle-tested. I'm optimistic about Kenny, and his squad of Ferguson (best since Robbie), Ogbene (fierce warrior with unstoppable electric energy). We have strikers unlike ever before (I think we'll be hearing from Parrott again also). Bazunu is a first-rate goalkeeper – love him. I truly think we're on the verge.
