MATT FITZPATRICK | Stars Of Silver | The Open Championship

There aren’t many who win The Open Championship Silver Medal and go on to win a major championship. Matt Fitzpatrick is in this small group of players.

In 2013, Fitzpatrick was 19 years old and competing at The 142nd Open from Muirfield as a Low Amateur. The young prospect impressed everyone with his calm and controlled play, finishing tied for 44th earning him the Silver Medal.

Since his sparkling Open debut, the Englishman has established himself as a regular entrant to major championships. In 2022 he won his maiden major, triumphing at that year’s U.S Open.

In total, Fitzpatrick has made seven appearances at The Open Championship. Making the cut five times and achieving his highest finish of tied 20th in 2019.

With a bright future ahead of him, Matt Fitzpatrick is an Open Championship ‘Star Of Silver”
