The recent Saudia Arabia GP in Jeddah caused some big drama internally in the Red Bull squad with Max Verstappen placing 2nd to Checo Perez’s 1st place finish! Christian Horner was naturally super happy with the 1, 2 finish, unlike Jos Verstappen who got caught looking disappointed after the race.

Verstapen is in his right, you dont get to be champion by considing. He pushes to the verrry limit of his car rightfully and I aplaud him for it. Perez is no match to Max.
I lost a lot of respect for verstappen. People show their true colors after a loss. It makes it even worse that he was 15th and still a pos after finishing 2nd. One of the biggest characteristics of a real champion is their ability to lose with humility, grace and dignity, the same way they should win. Verstappen is incapable of these. He is undignified in victory just as he is in defeat. Arrogance has a price and it is going to bite him sooner or later …. hopefully sooner. He is very talented, I would like to see this transfer into the man. Right now he is just a spoiled brat fast becoming the a copy of his dad, a complete moron living vicariously through his son.

Discipline is important in the long run. Max got away with it, but by pushing after he was given a target speed, he could have blown the race. There’s a reason they set a target speed after all. In this case it worked, but next time it might not.

I used to pull for Max and Red Bull to beat Hamilton and Mercedes because Toto and Hamilton were acting like pricks. But NOW, after seeing how Max and his dad act towards his teammate Checo, and just the overall selfishness, I will never pull for Max again. I know FORMULA 1, and racing in general, is an individual sport but you have to EARN IT. Being a poor sport because your teammate didn't just stop trying to win and HAND you the victory is bad form. Checo should keep going all out. In the meantime, I'm pulling for Alonzo and Aston Martin as well as Alfa and Bottas. "Old" dogs still have some fight in them. And anything under 45 is young.
All Perez had to do was park his car before the finish line, walk to grab a Starbucks cappuccino, come back and wait for Max to cross the finish line ahead of him.
I'm a Mercedes fan but I hope Perez wins the championship just to see the look on Max and his fathers faces! I see where Max gets his poor attitude from hahaha

Perez needs to be ruthless like max
Perez needs to stop being delusional. He is nowhere as fast or as good as Max. Just accept it. He's not going to beat Max when they both have fully working cars ever. To think different is just crazy. Accept your role, be happy you will finish second in driver standings this year and be a good teammate so they don't get rid of you. Because in that car almost any other driver could finish second. Perez is not an exceptional driver. Top 10 maybe but not top 5. He only won because Max started from 15th position. If max didn't have the issue he would have had pole and been 15 – 20 seconds at Least ahead of Perez. There is no controversy. Only Perez being delusional which the team won't accept. Max is the talent. He is no 1 and knows this and will always do what he wants. He has the right. I hate when people criticize people who are winners. This is not a team sport. This is an individual sport. To be no1 you have to be ruthless and concentrate on yourself.

It’s a race, none of the drivers are there to place second, all drivers would say they’re here to win. I don’t see what the problem is, at the end of the day they were both eventually told to push, I hope we have some great battles to come in the future. The camera catched the moment of Jos and Checo. Also you should listen all radio messages. Both Max and Checo knew what was going on and both Checo as Max tried to set a faster lap. O, and Checo went first to the Aston Martin guys for granulation’s ! But your camera also didn’t catch this.
So, Max did nothing wrong and the media make the fuzz.
The way I see it, Max is the one that’s the champion and instead of criticism Perez and everyone else should be learning.
