This is a bombshell for the golfing world and we genuinely think this could seriously be the death of the PGA tour! The PGA tour have not been happy recently with the news of LIV tour, there is a huge battle between both Liv golf and PGA tour… but now there is a new competition on the block.
This could SERIOUSLY be the DEATH of the PGA TOUR as we know it…
This is the New TGL indoor golf league coming in January 2024..but is this going to be the end of the PGA TOUR as we know it? Could this be the death of the PGA tour? Could the interest of golf completely switch to the TGL indoor golf league and LIV tour instead of the PGA tour? Golf is constantly changing but one of the fastest parts of golf growth is the driving range, or range goers as we call them. The TGL is forming part of this,
the TGL is a forthcoming, tech-based golf league that’s set to kick off in a few years’ time.
In partnership with the PGA Tour, the Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods-founded league pits two teams against one another in a tech-based arena. There will be six teams, with three PGA Tour golfers per team. What will golfers think of the new tour? Will this be the end of the typical format of the PGA tour?
The arena is “a data-rich, virtual course complete with a tech-infused, short-game complex” and features a “green-side fan experience,” as well.
Players Confirmed include Tiger woods, Rory Mcilroy, Rickie Fowler, Max Homa, JT, Morikawa, Rahm, Scott, Rose, Schauffele, Horschel, Fitzpatrick

This new league will give birth to a completely new skill set within golf. The shortened time and the crowd plus the different formats within would give rise to a new breed of golfers. Another thing they can do is license it all over the world and do like a champions league of sorts. Every country has a stadium.

Rubbish… this sounds like a circus side show. Also, playing simulator golf is not real. I blame all this on the social media/participation ribbon generation… and no one is going to watch " Monday night golf" get real… 😂

honestly i was not expecting this kind of announcement. my only fear is that is packed with ads. i would love to see some trashtalk between the teams and that the players go full ham with drives etc. maybe some funny trickshots on the shortgame.

Palm Tree Crew. Not a news flash, but the Tik Tok generation don't watch 5 hours of golf on Saturday and Sunday. LIV has the right idea with the Shotgun Start, in an effort to keep it ~3 hours. Last weekends Dell Match tourney was grueling to watch, but I had to because I was sick on the couch all weekend 🙂… but, I was also on my iPhone, youtube, channel surfing, etc. I was bored and distracted. This new format, if they really want it to catch on, then like others have said, they need to simul-link with the growing world of at home launch monitor players.. and not just make us watch, but let us participate!
The first league that actually offers simul-link events where I can play along with any pairing in the tourney field, even if it's for a fee, will probably cement themselves as the future of golf.
The only way I can see this working is an evening during the weeks event. It have to be in the beginning of the week because at the end they are on to the next tournament, no player sticks around especially if you don’t make a cut you’re gone off to the next. In person if priced right it during the week of a tournament it could be cool to check out. Also, having it part of a pro-am on Monday would benefit a larger audience

You guys are way too excited over this. I don’t see watching faux-golf. This is a nothing but a traveling Top Golf. It is a complete side show from real golf on a real course. Tiger on an upgraded simulator. Not for me.
