THE END of OPEN GOAL BROOMHILL

Si Ferry and his coaching staff will be stepping down from Open Goal Broomhill at the end of this season.

The Lowland League football club will presumably drop the “Open Goal” from their branding and become “Broomhill” again.

  1. The club statement came out after I'd filmed the first part of the video. Stick around to the end to hear some of it!

  2. "Celtic star, Simon Ferry" Don't think he even played a competitive match for Celtic. His team talks are nonsense and for TV as is most of his management style, the normal lads in the team look bored and disinterested in him. However, I do respect the access he used to get for his podcast. lastly, who would ever take Paul Slane serious? Its best for the club these guys move back into media and leave the fans and club alone, in my opinion.

  3. Going by those documentaries, I’ve seen better “staff” down the park on a Saturday morning.

  4. Same at now defunct Syngenta, one-mans vanity project scrapped – where will he turn up next?

  5. Di Canio must have been rolling around when he heard Si being manager of a team and then even more when he was punted. Also for a manager to constantly say on OG podcast he was on benders while being manager and then slating part timers for doing the same on the documentary was not going to stick.

  6. The worst and most incoherent video you have ever made, that I have seen anyway!
Don’t know if they have gone bust? Don’t know if the manager and his team have fallen apart or if they are going to Partick Thistle?
Well, you started it with a fairy story!

  7. Simon needed an experienced head next to him, Slaney is harmless but he’s not a coach.

  8. Find the whole Broomhill thing confusing. A club basically made up when the Lowland League was formed. Played at Alloa, now Cumbernauld i.e. nowhere near Broomhill or even Glasgow. Now there is another Broomhill who play lower down the pyramid and who actually play in Glasgow. Think this new club is actually linked to BSC whereas this Open Goal one isn't. Feels like the Open Goal one should either pack it in, get back with BSC or rename and move somewhere else without a team.

  9. Any chance you can put the table up as a Picture in Picture when you’re talking about the table. You show it for about 10 seconds and then talk about it for a couple of minutes. Be way easier to see what you’re talking about if I can actually see it!

  10. problem is he talks some game but the teams hopeless, don't know why he isn't managing barcelona the way he speaks about his style. Team just hoofs the ball up the park every game. Slaney being there was going to be an issue from the start, not a coach.

  11. The name alone put me off asking for trials as it’s my local side but they don’t play or train anywhere near broomhill 🤦‍♂️ can’t wait for an overhaul and rebrand

  12. In my opinion,, it was just plain daft to ever call a football team " open Goal" ,,, idiotic idea,,whoever thought it up needs to call it a day.

  13. I worked for Broomhill and tbh Steve is a good guy but very difficult to work with.
When I was there they wouldn't let me play my formation. Made me go with a 4-4-2 as the first team played this dinosaur tactics. The first team were on an absolute shambolic run too.
I was eventually asked to leave and went to Cantera who were there rivals. We went on an unbeaten run and got them to the Western Cup Final and we were the only team to beat EK all season and we done so in the semi finals!
Basically I know how hard it is to please the board at BSC.
I was very very surprised when they brought Si in as he's similar to myself (he has alot more football experience) but I mean personality wise! Si has always been a party animal! Fucked his football career due to it.
Do love the boys at Open Goal tho 👍
