That high fast ball is hard to hit if u drop or bend ur knees or commit to bending ur knees…i experimented with Rod Carew bat position tryed everyones…but Rod carew was one i remember how many times was the best hitter in pro baseball….he used to tuck the left arm tite to the chest an hold the bat still..matter of fact tucking the arm in to the chest and holding the hands an the bat back as far as u can does 2 things….the further back ftom which the bat comes the more momentum it has…the main thing is tucking the arm to the chest holding it in makes u wait on the pitch an u can find where the ball is going longer..when the pitch leaves the shoulder an the ball is free an coming u have that window where the ball is showing its course…if the guy has heat u have to decide where u feel its going…holding the bat back locking the front arm give u more chance to get ur hands down to the level of the balls trajectory to get ur swing behind it an on its plain..ur swing….think im gonna catch the pitch with 2 hands like an infielder….catching a ground ball…dont think hit get the hands to the plain the ball is on an bring the bat thru stay down on home plate think center field or right center….big tip if a guy is throwing 90 plus just get the bat to it …thank him forcthe velocity its gonna go out of the infield..dying qauil or not…dont expect to get a hit first time use see a pitcher….learn his delivery….foul 50 of them off make him earn it
