ANGRY John Rahm is left perplexed over golf ball survey results… I CAN’T BELIVE THAT it has come down to this a globals golf survey on rolling back the golf ball has been publish and the results are SHOCKING . The golf roll back has been a hot topic..

The survey on the Golf Digest website was conducted of 1,250 “serious golfers. The group was asked a series of multiple choice and open-ended questions. While the opinions are predictably varied between these golfers we have HUGE breaking news from some of the TOP golfers in the world too!

Rory Mcilroy Has now shared his opinion on rolling back the golf ball that the USGA & the R&A are proposing but what is the right thing! We have a split decision amongst the professional John rahm, bryson de chambea and the no.1 ball manufacture Titleist

Let me know what you think on this and what you think of ROLLING back the golf ball!

This is breaking golf news and golf news today.

A rollback is coming. The USGA and R&A released a joint statement Tuesday morning to announce a proposal that would modify the testing conditions for golf balls used in elite competition via model local rule by January 2026, a move that would reduce hitting distances at the game’s highest levels

What are the other golf brands out there for 2023? TaylorMade Distance Plus Golf Ball, Bridgestone e6 Golf Ball, Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Ball, Vice Pro Golf Ball, Titleist Pro V1 Golf Ball

  1. I really enjoy your channel but find it hard to focus on what you're saying because the music bed is often too loud and distracting.

  2. I am a 69 year old golfer. I'm currently playing off a 7 handicap. Changing the ball, is putting on a bandage to an issue, that has only been around since tiger. He made golfers, train like never before. So yeah some of the older courses, suffer. But you can bring in the rough, and do a lot to make courses more difficult. Including a short par 3. Like the postage stamp. I believe we all need to play the same ball, which is the ball we currently have. Rolling back the ball is a negative move for the game of golf.

  3. I'd leave it as is. If the ball is a major factor why don't the long hitters win every week? Rory missed a cut a couple of weeks ago. Bryson is not killing it. It isn't all about distance skill, has more to do with it. I see every week guys hitting into the crowd and hazards. I rarely see someone winning at 20 under. If it wasn't about skill more people would be getting into tournaments through event qualifiers.

  4. Unless 95% of people are driving every par 4 the real solution is to use golf course design to require more skill. Longer rough, narrower fairways for tournament setup, not for everyday golfers. There are so many courses that prove this out.. Shinnecock, Torrey Pines, TPC Sawgrass…

  5. The opinions of Rory are going to further ruin the PGA you remember when they change the wedges because they spinned too much just grow the ruff in…. And probably 90% of all professional golfers now work out so they’re stronger in there faster

  6. instead of rolling the ball back, restrict the lofts/length of the clubs, no drivers with a lower loft than 9 degrees (maybe eliminate the low spin option as well) 3 woods 15 degrees and so on, that way the likes of DeChambeau will spin the the ball alot and lose length and the shorter hitters wont be affected.

  7. If they roll the ball back and it makes very little difference are they going to keep rolling equipment back and how far back, the 2030 Open using old feather balls and hickory clubs 😁, or they will have to put the tees further back.

  8. It won’t benefit any tour player as they are all playing the rolled back ball… the only way it would benefit tour players would be if shorter hitters used current balls and long hitters played rolled back balls
I’m for leaving the ball as is

  9. Make the greens and fairways tighter and bunkers deeper. Golfer's are always going to get stronger but accuracy is always going to be the most important aspect of the game. This will make players weigh up the risk and reward of going for distance vs accuracy.

  10. Not that anyone cares about my $0.02… but here it is anyways.

Firstly. I don’t feel that long hitting is an issue. That’s why I watch and pay money for tickets to tournaments. I pay to watch pros do all the things I can’t do. I pay to watch pros play at a level that is entertaining. Roll the ball back and lose my viewership and my money.

Secondly I feel the solution should be in equipment not in the ball. Look at other professional sports for example. In MLB, pro players use wooden bats instead of aluminum to keep the home run count down. They don’t make “pro balls” harder to hit. I say, if you want to shorten drives… change the specs for professional use drivers. Don’t change the ball. I swear common sense isn’t common.

  11. It's the same as in basketball. The evolution of the game is inevitable. Just because in basketball teams are scoring more than ever its a bad thing, its entertaining. Don't lengthen the courses, just let the guys go -30. Its super fun to watch. Kapalua is one of my favorite events to watch, it amazing seeing these guys birdie every other hole!

  12. Shorten the shafts to 43" inches max and the driver heads similar to the Taylormade Mini driver head size and narrow the fairways and lengthen the rough and there you go.No ball change

  13. I don’t agree with the ball rule but I will say limit thr pros to 9 clubs; then you’ll see who can really play golf. Rory is the poster boy for PGA and the more he talks about the future of what’s best for golf, the less I like him

  14. if they changed to a "spec" driver , ect. ,they wouldnt have to worry about it . yes have tour specs for there equipment ..

  15. 30 years ago when I took up golf I loved watching the European tour more than the PGA, even though I live in the US, because I thought the majority of courses were tougher at that time due to more doglegs, narrower fairways, more trees and much smaller greens. Courses now do have fairly narrow fairways at times, but seems like lots of length added but more just straighter holes and larger, much less undulating greens. I could bomb a few drives 300 yards then and still can now at 53, but having to hit a 5 iron or so off the tee for position and then be left with a 4 or 5 iron into a smaller green shows who can aim and control, not just bomb it. Also little thicker rough. That to me is a change that needs to be made. Also quit dropping the loft angles on clubs. My new 7 iron is lofted at what my older set of clubs is. Some a new 7 iron would be same loft as my 5 iron. Helps peoples egos but no one is "gaining" yards that way, they are just hitting basically a 6 iron club with a 7 iron shaft length. But I jus say design courses that take the just bomb it approach out of every hole and make courses to where you have to play strategically. Love the episode.

  16. Where could this end? Hypothetically the next move would be to handicap in some way the best putters on tour. After all, you only get one drive per hole but two putts on every hole. Maybe golf will go full woke. At every tournament everyone gets a trophy because everyone is a winner and we don't want to harm self esteem. Nobody wants to watch lowest common denominator professional sport.

  17. When I watch the US Open the scores relative to par is so much closer to any other tournament. They make the rough longer, greens like glass, tougher pins… The ball isn't as much of an issue as how tough they make the course set up. Make it tougher and the ball doesn't matter.

  18. I have a few points: number one is we don't all play the same ball.. I could go play a professional tour event with a range ball OR a Pro V1. Secondly if every hole was a drivable par-4 or a par 3 this wouldn't be an issue the point is- some holes are set up that distance is supposed to be a challenge, if players are so athletic that they take away that difficulty by being long that's not an issue, that's a talent. These guys played long courses from the tips and they score well because they are good. 3rd and lastly for this book, there is nothing stopping the tour from adding obstacles out in the fairway hell they can make out of bounds in the middle of the fair way they could add sand they could do all sorts of things to make it treacherous to drive beyond a certain point

  19. Ok… if this is about fitness let's hold a 72 hole even with the pro's using 43" Steel shafted Persimmon woods and blades with an balata ball and see what happens. — No amount of fitness will get that ball with those clubs close to the average carry distance, while keeping it on the same hole, they hit with the modern equipment.

  20. Since “us” none pro golfers are the ones who actually pay for golf balls no to roll back but, the roll back is not for “us”. However, if I was a golf ball mfg, I doubt I’d make 2 lines (restricted flight and normal flight).

  21. Rory is the longest hitter on tour but he's far from the most accurate. Making courses tighter would more disadvantageous to Rory than a ball rollback.

  22. John daily said the ball he used in the early 90s he had way more control over. He said the new lighter balls he found it was harder to control. They didn’t have the clubs they have to day so we will see what happens.

  23. Leave the ball alone change the clubs. Make each tournament different, one week the entire field has to play the same brand of ball, the next week all the players have to use persimmon woods. One week using balata balls another week use non urethane balls. Would love to see a PGA event where all players use vintage irons from the 1970's 80's. How would scoring change if the pros had to play Top Flite XL. How bout having a tournament using an old Bullseye putter. Hickory shafts may make a comeback. The pros need a reality check, the game of golf has turned into a millionaire boys club.

  24. I believe that it needs to be equal and egalitarian as far as equipment goes. There should be no different specs for elite golfers versus anyone else. Find other ways to level the field.

  25. Another thought – turn some short par 4 holes on tournament courses into par 3s, or par 5s into par 4s for tourney play.

  26. Hell boys let's all just play par 3s 50-300 yds long or maybe narrow fairways, deeper sand traps, etc.golf has evolved in every aspect from players down to shoes so if you want to raise scores make the course tougher

  27. Golf balls and equipment has gotten better each year right? So that makes the game easier right? That’s why McIlroy is right for once…. yes taking 5% of golf ball yardage will make the game tougher. That’s why the elite players won more often. Jack Nicklaus , Arnold Palmer etc all winning over and over with poor equipment because nobody else had their skill to play well with that equipment. So it was easy to see who the best players were. Nowadays anybody wins!!!!! Because equipment has made the game easy. Look how many first time winners we had last year and then never heard from them again. Golf is too easy now it’s a fact! Let everybody play with the equipment that Nicklaus played with. Okay so that’s going to be too difficult for y’all so then roll back yardage just 5% which is like nothing compared to what Nicklaus played with. Dechambeau is crying because he knows very well distance helps lower your scores. Like playing off the ladies tees right! Stop that nonsense. Didn’t they make the golf ball bigger in the 80’s right? To make the game more difficult right? You didn’t hear anybody complaining then? I say the golf ball should go all the way back to the balata days! Par 4’s are meant to be hit in 2 shots not 1. If you can hit the balata ball on the green in 1 shot on par 4 then we’ll done but don’t rely on Titleist to give you a ball that can go 400 yds then think you’re the greatest Lol. To top things off the scoring has never improved really? Prediction has been lost. Ben Hogan hit every fairway and green in US Open in 1950’s with old equipment!!!! Today MCIlroy can’t hit 50% of fairways Lol what a joke! Where’s the precision gone? And they’re using way more consistent golf balls today but can’t hit greens or fairways. That’s because the old equipment and golf ball needed skill and precision to play well. Today the game is bland and anybody can win. The skill is gone!

  28. Man I have no idea how your content made it on my feed, but I like your videos. Subscribed. Keep up the good content.

  29. Maybe they should make the ball go further, or is that going to happen anyway regardless. A bit more time in the gym, some more swing evolution and we'll be back in the same place in 5 years.

  30. Rory has become a PGA puppet. Personally I'm getting a bit sick of hearing his so called esteemed opinion on everything.

  31. Dumbest thing I've ever heard. Narrow the fairways from 300-350 yards move or add fairway bunkers between 300-350 yards. Lengthen the rough and keep greens as fast and firm as possible for the pros. With longer distance comes the need for better accuracy and Brysons and example of that, when he's on he's on but that's rare these days because that type of golf is not as consistent and Brysons record over the past 2 years proves that. If distance was everything Bryson would be winning often
