Cameron Smith is an Australian professional golfer who currently plays on the LIV Golf League. He won the 2022 Open Championship, and has won five other tournaments on the PGA Tour, including the 2022 Players Championship.

Claimed a maiden European Tour title at the Australian PGA Championship in 2017, overhauling compatriot Jordan Zunic on home soil. Smith then became the first man since Robert Allenby in 2001 to successfully defend the title when he triumphed the following year.

Partnered Jonas Blixt to victory in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans for his first PGA TOUR victory in 2017 but would wait nearly three years for his first individual title which came at the Sony Open in Hawaii in 2020. He then won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans for the second time in 2021, then partnering with compatriot Marc Leishman.

Won his first Major Championship at The 150th Open at St Andrews, producing a sensational bogey-free final round 64 to win by one stroke from Cameron Young. It was the crowning moment of a break-out 2022 season which included victories at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and THE PLAYERS Championship. He became just the second player next to Jack Nicklaus to win both The Open and THE PLAYERS in the same season.

He is an avid supporter of Brisbane Broncos, the rugby league team in his hometown and is the owner of a pet dachshund named Kendrick. Also a keen petrolhead who loves tinkering with old cars in his spare time. Also has ambitions to open a coffee shop when he retires from golf.

2022 was a standout year for Smith, who won five times across multiple tours. The Australian star joined the immortals when he shot a final round of 64 to come from four shots back to win The 150th Open Championship at St Andrews. He followed that up with his first LIV Golf Invitational Series victory in Chicago. He captained Punch GC to a second-place finish at the Miami Team championship, shooting a 7-under 65 – three shots better than any other player – on the final day. Smith, who has represented Australia in several team events and won three Australian PGA Championships, reached the heights of No.2 in the world.
