Sparring is different from fighting, maybe the trainer said "that's enough I don't want you to take too much punishment" that doesn't mean he tko'd his opponents
I’ve come to realise whatever someone says happened in sparring, usually the opposite happens in a fight

This is why elites become choosy when scouting for sparring partners. From a professional's point of view, what happens in sparring should stay in sparring. Besides, sparrings aren't real fights.
