There is no denying McDavid is incredible, but Matthew’s is clearly a better centre man. Auston has become a better 2 way player this year and it has taken away from his offence. Wouldn’t trade him for ANYONE !
Ask the detractors if they would trade their favorite team's first line center for Matthews straight up and see how many non-Edmonton fans say "no."
His incredible value defensively doesnt show up in the score sheet. I think hes been just as valuable this year, and if his hand heals and he gets back to his 50/60 goals per season while maintaining this new found defensive skill he is going to be unreal
McDavid is out of this world. Offensively. But he very pedestrian as a defender.
Yes he's great, but people also seriously overrated him after last season. He's nowhere close to McDavid and there are a couple of others I'd rather have in my team, especially in the playoffs.

I’m still om the side that he is overated because I’ve watched a lot of Matthews game and his shot is unreal but his Defense play is very poor he is a week skater and his iq is solid but not top end and he isent as much as a game breaker as Marner
