What didn’t you like about the TSR line of FW’s?
Just a random question, what are some of the taller faced models of fairway woods? I tend to be steep so I need some extra room on the face height for forgiveness
There is no feeling like sitting in my college dining hall, digging into a turkey sandwich, and watching the boys go to work
Haircut is fresh
Problem is, the retail version of the standard Stealth 2, 3 wood has a closed face and sits shut.
Must admit I was expect a set of TSR 3’s in there. Given how well they were fitted at Titleist HQ. But that being said Ian’s WITB without a Taylormade or 2 would have been a bigger shock. Loving the bonded tour truck option as well. Slimmer hosel must make the head appear bigger also.
If you can get the 7 iron at 94, I would expect the 5 to be closer to 103-105. Is that wrong?
Just stuck a 16.5 Stealth 3 wood in my bag. I prefer the matte finish and the much lower price 😂 £166 brand new was a bargain and I hit it very well indeed, love it 😍 👍🏼
Always want to buy Taylormade’s bonded fairways and hybrids, but they are just too upright. Taylormade is a big enough company that they should offer the service to bend them flatter. They make a great product but if they just unlocked this service they would gain……20 more units sold 😂. Joking aside, Callaway offers to bend the UW, seems reasonable that the company that sells the most metal woods should offer it too.
Love the forgiveness route
Why can’t a shop like TXG bend a 5w, but a tour truck can?
Curious as to what the TM Tour truck can do that you guys can’t?
Surprised not to see tsr3 woods😮
I've enjoyed watching Ian's club choices go from harder-to-hit bombers (Rocket 3 Sim Ti) to the more forgiving options, throughout the bag. There really is something to be said for dialing it back a few %, but being more consistent.
I just got a stealth 2 plus 9 degree with graphite design DI 5 stiff and a stealth 2 15 degree 3wood with DI 6 stiff and stealth 2 plus 19.5 degree hybrid with DI 75 stiff not had them long but are working well for me I am not very long but hit the numbers for me driver carrys about 225y 3wood about 200y and hybrid about 183y they can some times be a bit longer but thats about average went with the none plus in the 3 wood just always need a bit more help as only use of the fairway not often of a tee
Lie angle is so important, Taylormade missed the mark here with not having the ability to bend these flatter for the general consumer, such a shame for a great head
Sold on the 5w, will the 3w last long in the bag…?
Ian, what made you choose say a short 5 wood over a longer shafted 7 , height ?
Wish we could all get our woods flattened on tour van 😢 they make them far too upright these days
Is there a 7 wood you recommend that the lie can go low enough.. without a tour truck getting involved
Hi Ian you looked to be flushing the Fairway Woods 👍, felt Matt’s comments were “spot on” would not be able to have the Stealth 2s adjusted for lie & and opened up a touch👍, (on the Tour truck) for us ordinary golfers, and go for a fairway Wood with an adjustable hosel like Ping and get it dialled at the fitting👍, (nice to see the fitter having to get fitted)😁,good luck with the new Woods Ian , Dickey 9hcp 76year senior golfer UK
