  1. One big piece to the puzzle I didn’t notice mentioned with the elbow positions is the physical capabilities. A lot of your normal guys can’t pass a 90/90 test in golf posture. For them it doesn’t matter what the do they are not able to get the elbow pointed down at the top.

  2. Lead leg bent on impact which means his sitting back without weight shift causing it to pull right and become armsy. Still fairly neutral though don't get me wrong. Cameron McCormick at Altus golf does a lesson with Brodie Smith check his channel and gets him to do the 'elevator drill' to bring him into flexion on downswing. You've been golfing for so long this can't be new to you but the look you give when he asks you to do so, idk..

  3. I really enjoy these lesson series. Keep up the great work and look forward to more content fellas!

  4. At the 6:40 mark what is Scott Cowx referring to when he said if you get this idea then you get the elbows for free?

  5. Yea that doesn’t happen in the down swing he wants to add right side bend at the top when it happens at impact or slightly passed impact .

  6. I'm 88 with my irons at 58 years old. I like that speed. I do like how Scott has you guys tightening things up. I'm gonna work on that!

  7. Wow! This is total opposite of what I’ve been working on. My focus has been a longer take away and more width at the top. My 7 iron speed is 92mph, but maybe I’ve been doing it all wrong.

  8. Excellent coaching.. im a bit older than you guys , but I’ll give it a go .. great vid guys xx

  9. Great work guys I’m loving this series. Great point at the end by Scott about taking it to the track and the ups and downs. That’s the fun part. That’s why we practice. That’s why we play. To see how good we can get. Keep it up, you’re both making great strides. Fun to see

  10. It's 2 1 or 6, based on if you're at P2 or P1, unless you're at C437. Remember to externally bend your left elbow, while you're internally rotating your flux capacitor. Got it

  11. This has been the best segment on the channel. Period. TXG bringing the heat. 🔥🔥🙌🙌🙌

  12. So I know this isn’t video related but went with a friend to get an iron fitting at a big box retailer today. I got mine done at Club Champion a few years ago. As much as I didn’t like paying how much it cost for a full bag fitting, I would do mine all over again. Wasn’t impressed with what the big box retailer did for an iron fitting.

  13. When I saw the swing at 9:11 I thought, that looks good, and those are probably the best numbers I've ever seen from your 7 iron, lots of spin.

  14. I can't be the only one who watches this and is thinking Wtf is Scott talking about lol. Does seem like you guys are both getting a ton of speed without much effort but I'd really struggle with learning like this I think.

  15. I feel this teaching method is way too technical and makes it a challenge for the mind to relate to it.

  16. This is the best series out there such awesome high-level technical knowledge that is easily digestible. Can’t wait for the upcoming segments

  17. Love watching Matt's lessons because Scott and I are working the same pattern, literally a free lesson for me. ❤‍🔥

  18. I had the thought that Scott looks like Coach Beard from Ted Lasso and I can’t unsee it now.

  19. I have a hard time following along – too many swing thoughts at once to be able to accomplish them all.

  20. Loving that you have taken the content beyond equipment and fitting, and are fast become the content 'one-stop-shop' for all things golf.

  21. Fixing (adjusting) Matts swing is like telling Max Verstappen that he doesn't drive the car right.

  22. Loving this series and channel in general. Thanks for the great content. It would be great later in the season if you two filmed 9 holes of golf to see these changes in action out on the course.

  23. The 2-1-6 pattern would apply differently to different golfers would it not? How can you make such a rule when everyone has different anatomies? Shorter/longer limbs, different sized torsos

  24. Would love see Scott put the DeWiz on both and show the numbers. Really interested to see Max hand speed and distance to impact

  25. This series has been awesome – I found this channel at the start of the pandemic and along with the boys at NLU is a cornerstone of my golf life. Top work again 🍻🍻

  26. I think it will be really interesting your future lie angles, shaft selection and clubs once these changes are engrained.

  27. I have been working on the positioning of the trail elbow, as Scott instructed in this video. It feels a bit ackward at first, and building the muscle memory takes a bit of time, but it really works. My 8-iron clubhead speed was about 75 mph, with Scott's trail elbow fix,I was seeing 82 mph and much more consistent line. I am getting a couple mph more with a 3 wood and driver doing this, but with improved ball flight trajectory and line. For me, this is one of the best videos yet.

    Thanks TXG!

  28. yes please bring scott on for interview! what a brilliant teacher with a high golf iq. it's refreshing to see and hear

  29. This series you guys are producing is awesome. Some really great insights, I think the biggest thing to take from this series for me is. Identifying your particular swing type is really important. Once you understand your swing type, you can identify the drills that will work for you and the there isn’t a one method fixes all. Scott Cowx is a legend.
