Ike Ibeabuchi – Is a Nigerian former professional boxer who competed from 1994 to 1999 in the heavyweight division. He defeated the previously undefeated highly ranked contender David Tua in 1997 and another highly ranked contender and future world champion Chris Byrd in 1999. After a series of run-ins with law enforcement, he was imprisoned in Las Vegas in July 1999, after submitting an Alford plea for charges on sexual misconduct. This also marked the end of his professional boxing career.

I have a feeling this guy coulda given Lennox a hell of a fight, being he was fairly similar to Ray Mercer.
Some guys could do it all but lacked the talent ike could do it all and had all the talent this why its such a shame to see what happened to him

Ike was nuts. Kidnapped his girlfriend and took off over state lines. Did Voodoo or thought someone was doing it to him. Batsh!t crazy wrecking machine. Tua and Ibeabuchi still hold punch count record record for a heavyweight bout. They beat the previous record held by Fraser and Ali, only they did it over 15 rounds and David and Ike did it over just 12.
He used to train at my gym back in the day..VIVERO BOXING GYM. RIP Gene Vivero. 🙏
