Caliper! Measures the depth or thickness of the “MEAT” of the board.

calipers to measure thickness
Calipers, used to check the thickness of the board. Usually thickness of foil is checked at center and foot from nose and tail. Also handy to check thickness around fin boxes prior to installing them to ensure you don't route through the other side 😂
