  1. rory also cuts the tip of his driver by an inch for additional tip stiffness

  2. I doubt there is anything wrong with the Stealth2 itself but it may just not feel as good to some players. Just like cavity-back irons, when you increase MOI for more forgiveness you (for some people) reduce the ability to feel where the mass is located. So, cavity-back irons = more forgiveness, less feel and less ability to steer due to increased MOI. These drivers may be having the same impact for some of these players. It's neither good nor bad, it's just how some people [prefer the feel of their clubs and are comfortable.

  3. Lads ye need to watch the full interview – Rory said its a pitty he couldnt use his original Stealth driver not because he didnt like the stealth 2 or due to contract with TM but because it was boderline on the CT machine. This presser was chopped up for click bait !!! Hes had that stealth 2 driver since January

  4. here is the deal, the pro level golfer has a sweet spot on there driver they like to hit. sometimes it is high toe (Rory), sometimes it is low heel(DJ), so the location on the face is different. thats why some players prefer different models over other ones.

  5. Great vid gents. I'd say one thing that players (and I'm assuming especially tour players) sometimes just jive better with certain models, no? Whether that's a look, feel, or something else. Seems that's Rory's case here. And he may just not like having to switch each year. I can definitely sympathize with that!

  6. Do you think Rory and Collin had drivers with face de-lamination issues? I.e. the face came unglued and lost confidence in the product? Reason I ask is I have seen it happen twice in person. Not a good feeling when that is in the front of your mind on ANY tee.

  7. Would also adding the ball that Rory uses bring any added benefits to the testing? To my understanding he is using the TP5X, could the minor issues with the swing or comfort level with the equipment possibly require him to go to the TP5? Or be more like Scottie and utilize a ball that he had previously used? Titleist, maybe. Great videos, absolutely enjoy the information that you provide.

  8. Rory has many more years ahead of him to complete the career grand slam. I'd like to see tiger work his magic this year

  9. I see the problem (2:12 "Is there something going on with this driver?")… he needs to use one made for right handers. That's for lefties!

  10. Rory needs to spend less time on PGA Administration & press conferences and more time on the range and fittings. Rory call Ian !!!!! Love the videos!

  11. Rory didn’t call out the driver at all, he said he wished he didn’t have to be bedding in a new driver. Totally different.

  12. I just got fit for a stealth two at no bogeys golf in Laguna Niguel California. I’m waiting on delivery right now. I certainly hope there’s nothing wrong with this driver.

  13. The carbon face of the OG Stealth is too hot and won’t pass testing for Rory to use so he is having to use the Stealth 2 and doesn’t like it yet.

  14. Would have like to see him hit original the stealth + as well. There must be some differences from heads to heads no?

  15. Rory is an immature baby and has to make excuses. Very bad look for him as usual just like all the crap he talks about LIV golf. Rory made a lot of bad swings and isn't man enough to take responsibility. Remember it is the Indian not the arrow that makes the difference.

  16. I got fit into the Stealth 2 plus, it comprehensively out performed the Callaway and Titleist ranges, clubhead speed range 113-116 mph

  17. hahaha, you want Rory to win the Masters, what were his excuses for blowing a big lead the The Open last year. Rory may never win another major because he is not consistent enough because he is too handsy with his swing and his swing is too long and too fast. The game is not about distance it is about accuracy. All the best ball strikers in History like Hogan, Knudson, Trevino, Player, Rahm have more compact and consistent swings. When Rory is on he is hot, but when he is off his misses are bad and golf is all about how good your misses are. Also Rory doesn't have the strong mindset to keep his head in the game when his swing is off, you can see it on his face and his demeanor.

  18. Rory doesn’t like it cause he hasn’t had much time with it and doesn’t feel comfortable with it vs the first Gen. lot of know what their old drivers will do and don’t feel comfortable with the S2.

  19. It’s not the drivers it’s the one swinging it. They not swinging the best and it’s more confident thing

  20. The driver design is nothing short of perfection. It’s horses for courses – they all should be trying multiple variants

  21. Why can’t people understand that this is a long hitting driver and sawgrass is definitely not meant for long hitting drives. Scottie’s average driving distance at the players was only 305. Scotty is so talented that he’s able to take some distance off when he needs to. Nothing wrong with the driver

  22. Reach out to Taylormade, and bring Rory and Collin to the studio to get fitted by you guys.

  23. The first one sucked too. I went to my local Edwin Watts and there must have been 15 of them in the used club bin. If it was that great, why are so many people trading it in already?

  24. It may just not feel the same. Even for a high handicapper if it doesn't feel like what you are comfortable with then you aren't gonna adapt.

  25. Unless you're a below scratch handicapper, all drivers are going to perform pretty much the same

  26. On TMs fargiveness test, it was interesting that the pros struggled to hit out of the toe, and none of them were able to hit it near the heel. Their swings are so consistent, they actually struggled to get the ball mark out of sweet spot. Tiger couldn’t get more than half the ball mark out of the center.

  27. Hated the first stealth, the sound and feel was horrible for me personally, but boy the stealth two sound like butter and is very forgiving.
