  1. They aren't changing the current ball just the next generation, is what I thought they said.

  2. This change will matter in 10 years when guys are swinging 125 mph plus. Very few are hitting that right now.

  3. surprise these governance bodies did not discuss this change with players before announcement. is that part of power struggle they want to avoid these days?

  4. Industry and governing bodies have ruined golf… there is no need to hit a golf ball so far that you can't see it anymore… they've done that with extremely hot balls… and drivers with extremely hot faces… and the pros who know are not hitting as far as they are because their clubs are extremely light almost all the pros have weight added to their drivers there's a reason why most the pros are playing with forged irons because you're heavier as industry South to the general public that swing speed is the key when in all actuality ball compression is the key but the average Joe is chasing that game that they're not going to have with extremely light clubs because they'll never be able to feel the face of the club and they got a swing extremely fast to be able to compress the ball if you had a heavy Club you wouldn't have to swing it fast and you'll be able to compress the ball and you'll be more accurate doing so and you'll know where the face the club is also but the industry doesn't tell the general public these things they don't make any money if you buy a set of clubs and you keep them for ten fifteen years they make money while you chase clubs trying to chase a game

  5. Everyone must consider golf courses and the significant expense of modifying them to accommodate new distances. It is boring to watch drivable par 4; now, pros need just a couple of clubs in their bags, mostly wedges and drivers. Who wants to watch that.

  6. It bugs me so much how these “governing bodies” try to come in and make trash rules without consulting or caring what the players or fans think. 95% of people would call this proposal a load of garbage.
