Decent pick up, but where's the new shiny piece for the defense??
Pretty sure Jimmy G wasn't the reason why that SF team went to the Super Bowl. He had comfortable ride on the back of that defense and running game on that Super Bowl run.
He had 8 passes on that NFC Championship game. Raheem Mostert had 220 yards and 4 TDs. Defense had 3 sacks and 2 picks. And remember that Superbowl game? When he couldn't make a single play on that final drive? Oh yeah we remember.
If anything, Jimmy was the one who held back that 49ers team from winning the Superbowl.

Jimmy’s had a defense most of his career where Car hasn’t. On top of that there was little to no dysfunction with the 49ers and Patriots when he was there. Overall I think Car is the better QB that played on a worst team. Hoping he does well for the saints

Jimmy G gets hurts every other year. So, this season he should play the entire thing based by history
jimmy far better for 20 million then Carr for 40 million…You can get another great player or two for 20 million….

This is the first time Skip don't know what to say. He keeps bouncing around what his conscience is trying to say. And another thing, just because a player has had injuries in the past doesn't mean they haven't evolved from said injuries and learned from them.

I believe Raiders have more offensive talent than 49ers. 49ers coach just knows how to scheme his players. McDaniels still learning. I’m okay with that. Could be the year we actually turn this team around
Derek Carr never had a team or front office that Jimmy G has had.

As a Chargers fan, I'd rather go against Jimmy G twice a year than Derek Carr. Which to me means I don't fear Jimmy Garappolo, so this is a downgrade.
