What is the purpose of LIV Golf?
The series, bankrolled by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, has billed itself as “an opportunity to reinvigorate golf” through rich paydays, star players and slick marketing. “Golf but louder,” is one of its slogans.

How is LIV different from PGA?
A fundamental difference between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour is that LIV events are contested over just 54 holes. Strokeplay events on the PGA Tour are contested over four rounds – 72 holes. As are events on the other main world tours and, of course, the Majors.

Can Liv golfers play in the Masters?
LIV Golf players invited to participate in 2023 Masters: Everything you need to know. All eyes will be on the Masters in April. It will be the first time this season that LIV Golf Series golfers will tee up alongside PGA Tour golfers. LIV golfers recently got clearance to enter the Masters.

‘WHAT A MOMENT’ – MATTHEW WOLFF MAKES HISTORY BY BECOMING FIRST PLAYER TO MAKE A HOLE-IN-ONE AT LIV GOLF

The fourth LIV Golf event is underway and many eyes are on world No. 2 and this summer’s Open Championship winner Cameron Smith. The Australian made a bright start at the Oaks Course in Boston, but he was put in the shade early in the event by Matthew Wolff who wrote his name into the history books by becoming the first player in LIV Golf to make a hole-in-one.

Matthew Wolff wrote his name into the history books with the first hole-in-one in LIV Golf history.
Taking aim on the second hole on the Oaks Course in Boston, his fourth, Wolff’s tee shot was greeted by wolf howls from a boisterous gallery.
The noise got even louder a short while later, as Wolff’s ball pitched on the green and jumped into the hole for an ace.

Cue high fives with playing partners and fans as Wolff moved himself under-par for the event.
It is the fourth LIV event and well aware of the feat, Wolff said: “That’s the first one. It won’t be the last.”
Minutes after Wolff had dunked the ball for an ace, new LIV recruit and current world No. 2 Cameron Smith saw a shot crash straight into the pin and unlike Wolff’s shot, it ricocheted off the green.
