Reliving The War takes an in-depth look at the WWF vs WCW “Monday Night War” era of pro wrestling. Week by week every episode of Raw and Nitro gets covered (including every match and every promo) to find out which show was really the best.
WCW presents a monumental episode of Nitro this week live from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. It was announced earlier in the week that Goldberg would get a WCW Heavyweight Championship match on this week’s episode of Nitro, but Hollywood Hogan wants to prevent that from happenig. Kevin Greene and The Giant meet inside the ring, the Chavo vs Eddie feud continues to heat up, and nWo Hollywood’s Scott Hall returns to WCW.
On Raw The Undertaker is still determined to become number 1 contender for the WWF Championship and Mr. McMahon has an announcement regarding the title. We see more Brawl For All action with Brakus vs Savio Vega and Droz vs Road Warrior Hawk, and we also see a rivalry begin between Sable and Jacqueline as they confirm a bikini contest for Fully Loaded in a few weeks’ time.

It’s funny to me that Hogan made racial slurs about black people, yet during this time he was tanning so much thatI bet if you showed a photo of his body without his face or gear, people would probably think he’s black (2:25)

Goldberg v Hall and v Hogan were the first matches I ever watched, they were in a VHS a mate lent me, we didn't have any wrestling on TV in Italy in the late '90s.

Question. What happened to the US championship, after Goldbergs win?
I honestly think Goldberg needed that belt, maybe at tbe ppv but his momentum was unstoppable. I don't even think they booked themselves into a corner, Goldberg should have been kept out of stories and DDP should have perhaps won his rediculously good match with Bill to get the title in circulation… Maybe do a thing where DDP is Bill's bogey man… I dunno.
