Scottie Scheffler dominates on his way to victory | Round 4 | THE PLAYERS | 2023

In the final round of THE PLAYERS Championship 2023, Scottie Scheffler birdied five in a row through the middle of his round on his way to a 3-under 69 to finish at 17-under for the tournament, good enough for a five-stroke win and his sixth victory of his PGA TOUR career.

TPC Sawgrass will once again host THE PLAYERS Championship, with 43 of the top 50 golfers in the world teeing it up at the iconic event. After a brilliant run that has seen him claim three wins in six starts on the PGA TOUR this year, World No. 1 Jon Rahm will lead the field. Reigning FedExCup Champion and winner of THE PLAYERS in 2019 Rory McIlroy will be confident in challenging for glory after an impressive showing at last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational saw him finish T2, just one shot behind eventual winner Kurt Kitayama. All 14 players who have won on TOUR this season will be competing, including Max Homa, who currently sits in second in the FedExCup Standings. The Californian shot an impressive 6-under-par 66 in the final round of last year’s event to finish T13. 2021 winner Justin Thomas will be looking for his first win since the 2022 PGA Championship. The World No. 9 has recorded just one top-10 finish so far in 2023 and will be looking to recreate some of the magic that saw him shoot a combined 12-under-par across rounds three and four to secure THE PLAYERS two years ago. 30 players will be competing in the event for the first time, including 2022 Wyndham Championship and Shriners Children’s Open winner Tom Kim.

  1. Good for him, loads of work and talent. Wanted to see a challenge, toe-to-toe finish but no one could keep with Scottie.

  2. One thing I’ve noticed about Scottie over the last year is he’s exceptional at holing out from the edge of the green👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 top player, top person

  3. Other than Scottie and maybe one other player, a bunch of nobody's. Everyone is gone to LIV Golf, where all the real players and money is. The PGA is dead. Congrats on another win, Scottie.

  4. Shame to see MinWoo faulty at the last hurdle. he had a good 3 days and he will learn from this experience. hes won on the DP tour so i expect him to be up in contention again on the PGA Tour very soon!

  5. In 10 tournaments all at their peak, who wins the most tournaments: Rory, Rahm or Scheffler? I’m going Rory

  6. The only reason this bloke won is because the defending Champion, Cameron Smith, wasn't permitted to play…. 👎

  7. I’m so happy for Scottie! He’s been playing some amazing golf and I hope he gets more wins and major victories!

  8. Scottie has "Earned" just over $33,000,000.00 ($Million) since he started his winning run some 13 months ago. That means his caddie Tim Scott has "Earned" a (minimum) of $3,300,000.00 ($Million) during this time. God I do love the PGA~! They do pay well… Shalom

  9. God damn his short game is ridiculously good right now. Actually his whole game is good right now lol

  10. Congrats to Scheffler, his hard work is paying off plus his mental strength is such an asset as well

  11. I played golf for 40 years & I'm happy when I get shoot into the 80s. BUT, watching Scotty! I've never seen such soft hands chipping a ball around the green- almost have his as if he's putting it from everywhere off the green. Never seen such touch like that before. Maybe Mickelson. But holing out like he does. Amazing. Also, great disposition, wholesome down-to-earth fun-loving. Scotty's personality is great. Not a lot of drama controversy in his life. Wonderful wife and family. Great role model for others.
