A VERY big thanks again to fellow bowler Scott Rondelli for providing this tape that MANY people have asked me about over the years! Air date: 5/9/1992. This was the first week after Paul Berger rolled his legendary 500 triple on the program, and Steve Ball would be his opponent who was making his TV debut on the program. (What a crazy time to make a TV debut against a guy that just broke a 30+ year record on the program, right?)
This particular match started off a bit slow, though picked up throughout certain parts of the show and then REALLY ended with a bang from both bowlers that made this an exciting and fun telecast to watch. Let met tell you as well, you want to talk about great shot making, watch what happens at 41:02!!!!!

I miss watching candlepin bowling on Saturday morning. I spent almost every weekend with my late, great dad. That was our special day together! My mom was from Nova Scotia and met Don once she was so happy to see one of her own on television!
Perhaps a little hangover for Paul Berger after the previous week's show, but he weathered that nicely.
