Throwback Golf Glory Galore at This Legendary Shop | Range Pickers

Cole Young of Metalwood Studio hits up legendary Eaton’s Golf Shop in Long Beach, California, where he builds a used-club golf bag for $500 or less. This is Range Pickers.

And if you’re ever in the Long Beach area, definitely swing by Eaton’s and see Dawn and the entire crew. They’ve been a fixture in the golf community and in the same location for 34 (!!!) years and counting.

  1. The video is great, but you’re at $300 within 5 minutes, and you only have a 6 iron, a putter and a persimmon. This feels a little like visiting Disneyland

  2. I love classic persimmon woods, but I would think only the purist would be willing to pay any money for one. And, it had better be pristine. Selling a run-of-the-mill (even decent condition) one in Michigan…you’d be LUCKY to get 10 bucks.

  3. Great series but her prices were sooooo high she ripped off a friend by the looks of it. The only good deal was the callaway sign

  4. This is what golf is about man. None of this $800 driver, brand new Scotty Cameron bs. The heart of the game, so good. Can’t wait for the next episode

  5. Cole: “Golf is super affordable!”

Also Cole: [spends $500 on a near unplayable 6i/D/1-iron combo, a super old putter & 3 o-k wedges]

  6. Thoroughly enjoyed this. The mention of the name John Byron rang a bell and I instantly recalled my dad had given me one years ago that’s been just sitting in the garage. Mid-broom 98 of 100.

  7. Awesome video ! Cool & articulate ! The store owners were very knowledgeable & amiable to say the least ! Bravo Cole ! Bravo Eatons !

  8. For those who don’t pay attention to the market for persimmons, there are certain models from various companies that are worth a lot of money. If the shop actually did have a Wood Bros Texan or All-American persimmon driver in nice condition it would be worth $500. That is not a joke. Many MacGregor persimmon models from the 1950s are worth hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars. However, most persimmon clubs ever made are worth very little. I own 4 of those Richard O’Hara drivers, all with different stain colors and insert designs. They are worth more than $100 in nice condition.

  9. Wow. I can't believe this video came up in my feed but I loved those persimmon woods for sale. Great condition and boy do I miss using them and listening to that sound when hitting a balata.

The people in this video were absolute gems. Let's have another video.
