The 2-1 TD-INT rate in college ball is a little concerning.
Really stupid to get hyped about the combine… long jump isnt a skill that benefits qb play… only teams that let that change their mind… deserve to get zack wilson'ed

Richardson vs UGA Bama & LSU should give u the best idea of what he can do vs nfl teams. Player development in the right system is key. Losing our minds over athleticism at the combine seems foolish considering the level of talent being cultivated by our society but no matter, the falcons will trade up with reckless abandon in order to secure this level of disappointment.

I don't think anyone who watched a Gator game questions Richardson's athleticism….he just happens to be hot garbage as a signal caller.
AR is becoming so so so over hyped
I'll never make any definitive conclusions on a qb's accuracy after Josh Allen. Dude was barely above a 50 percent completion percentage in college and it now one of the most accurate qbs in the league. Richardson has the athletics, arm strength and leadership qualities you look for in a qb.

Best part about stroud is he wasn’t happy with his session. He can do better. He’ll light up his pro day with his own receivers.
My problem with the combine is too many people put too much weight on this. Tom Brady had the worst combine ever, how many rings he got? Manning, terrible combines, what accolades they got?
God I hope not. Running around in gym shorts and playing in pads under pressure are two very different beasts. I want the kid who played the best against the most future NFL caliber talent. The combine and draft are an entertainment spectacle in place to keep the rigged NFL afloat through the slow season. You aren't going to learn anything at the combine that you haven't already learned from someone in the field of play.
calling it now richardson will not be a good an in the nfl, just check the game tape which is the most important factor

If all 4 QB’s are taken before the Lions are taken then 1 of the 3 top D-Linemen will be there and I would take that guy over a CB. If 1 of those QB’s is there at #6 they have to consider them considering that Jared Goff will cost $50 to 60 million dollars in 2 years. They may have to resign him now (this offseason) to keep his numbers down enough where they can resign people like Penei Sewell and Amon-Ra St.Brown down the road.
I was high on Richardson after first 2 weeks of college ball last year…then he just looked TERRIBLE for the rest of the year (or whenever I saw him after that)…

Still remember hearing a scout say " we don't need the best athlete, we need the best football player". I love the combine for this reason. Shows you which organizations are actually smart enough to not let some limited combine performance effect their decision making
Richardson is an incredible athlete with elite speed, strength, explosiveness, and throwing distance, and he throws a REAL clean spiral. But he also has less than 400 passing attempts across his ENTIRE college career. 55% completion, 3100 yards, 24 TDs to 15 INTs for his WHOLE college career.
This guy is an incredible prospect, but he needs guidance and seasoning if he wants to have a successful NFL career. If some struggling QB-hungry team drafts him and tries to start him thinking that he's gonna be "The Guy" (Texans, Jets, Falcons, Raiders, etc would all do that), he's gonna faceplant and destroy his confidence, and he'll struggle until he gets into a better situation or he flushes out of the league.
BUT if he can get into a situation where he can sit and learn behind a veteran QB for a few years? This guy could be REAL special.

Mahomes played behind Alex Smith a couple seasons. Imagine a guy like Richardson getting that opportunity at Seattle. They have to take that chance on this man.

If Richardson goes to a good team with a good coach, he can possibly become really good. However if he doesn't, he's finished.
I don't get the hype around Richardson at all… throwing nearly 50% in College with 'upside' is a huge waste. Not to say this because they were the same school, but this has Tebow 2.0 written all over him. Cam Newton was a FAAAAAR better prospect, Lamar Jackson didn't quite get to 60% but was a COMPLETELY different player on the ground game (and the Ravens have basically said they're moving on).. Richardson is Malik Willis 2.0 (with sure, some more upside, but not top 5 let alone top 32 worthy). I hope Seattle fleeces Carolina or Las Vegas.
