  1. Got a question for next time you do one of these: what's the funniest thing a ref has done or said to Bobby and Yorkie in a game

  2. @Wally, ask Yorkie about the Alex Daigle getting kicked off the flight 1996. Intresting to hear

  3. I totally agree with the heads up and body checking comments from Bobby and Yorkie . Coached from Novice to Midget in rep hockey and AA …..we always had clinics to teach how to take a hit , give a proper hit and on ice awareness of heads up hockey. This is gone from the game these days at the younger levels .

  4. 100/10 on Bobby's take about hitting.

Kids need to be throwing hits in Atom as 9-10 year olds. They need to learn how to absorb a hit from a 60-90lb body. Not wait till Bantam when the largest kid is 160lbs throwing a hit on the 110lb kid and flattening him.

PS: That take about targeting injuries, seems like players knew about Draisaitl's injury in the playoffs last year. Being cagey on a goalie injury is weird tho, you cant touch them lol

  5. I don't feel bad for Gallagher what so ever. It just bothers me that Gallagher is a pro diver, but he was chirping Stutzle over it

  6. Totally agree! The teaching of how to give and take a hit is CRITICAL and needs to be taught at the appropriate age (enter your debate here). You cannot keep bumping up the age group and have them one year off of the OHL and all of a sudden they enter that league barely knowing how to hit??? Makes no sense. As a minor league player that got penalties for "hitting too hard" (honest to god that was what the refs told me) it's frustrating as hell to have to tell a kid (or be told) that you made a great clean hit, but the refs thought you were dirty about it. Keep the teaching age at Peewee competitive level 12-13 years old, but ensure there are reputable teachers teaching the skill/technique of hitting to take the player out of the play. Gradually introduce each aspect of the hit so players can understand each part of it and how it gets pieced together in real time speed.

  7. It's kind of cool to see you guys progress in your ability to work together, getting a lot more smooth, less bumping into each other's comments. Some pretty good stories today too.

  8. Thanks for asking my question about the Yashin to Alfie transition. I liked Yorkie's long answer. Let the man talk!

  9. Wally since you stand by well done steak so strongly, the only way forward is for you to get a tattoo of it no question

  10. On the topic of teaching kids when to hit, it comes down to what is the acceptable threshold of number of kids getting concussions. The parents of the children who got concussed and complained, and everyone agrees that children shouldn't be getting concussions, so you protect children and don't let them hit. There are consequences to that, as discussed by Brent, Jason and Bobby. But at the end of the day would you rather have the problems that come from not teaching kids how to hit, or would you rather have a child with a concussion? I don't think there's a correct answer.

  11. 34:55 the rambling is good, keeps the thoughts rolling and made the answer(s) multiple times better than a normal thought. Keep grinding guys. It’s great, and Bobby is fantastic when he’s actually talking more & just says what comes to his mind, needs to stop being guarded at some moments. Keep killing it
