I'm just waiting to see what the Cubs will do with Rio
Good stuff guys…I'm starting to get psyched for baseball season too! Like, quite psyched. Hey, our pitching depth is gonna turn out to be a big time strength for us. You guys mentioned it before the contrast between the 2016 core construction and this new, next core construction. Big bats with the mysterious tragic flaw (2016) vs this new team being constructed around pitching and defense. I like the latter…more dependable formula and waaaayyyy less likely to have that crazy-ass, inexplicable tragic flaw that surfaces throughout the entire lineup in the most crucial moments. I dig the pitching depth and the defense and can roll with knowing we can probably manufacture enough runs by playing smart baseball. And it's worked for other teams going with a 6man rotation if necessary. Or we got dudes that can step up if someone goes down. Let's go Cubs…let's make some 2015 special stuff happen! Why wait…let's do the 2016 big stuff again!
We got Kris Bryant because Ian Stewart was bad. If Stewart had been good, Cubs would’ve won too many games to draft #2 overall.
