On May 7th, 2022, at around 11 pm, officers with Sumter County Sheriff’s Office in Florida were on patrol when they saw an illegally driving golf cart with no lights traveling on a County Road.
The driver provided a breath sample which read 0.116 BAC and 0.115 BAC at the jail.
After court proceedings, a Florida Judge dropped the DUI charge against the driver based on the lead officer’s statements captured on the bodycam footage.

The Deputy made some mistakes and didn’t communicate well. Still, I don’t understand why a DUI in some states doesn’t appear to have any consequences in your home state.
