  1. Russell great video! The split hand drill at the end, is that similar to a flying wedge drill? “ Maintaining forward shaft lean at impact.

  2. Love the analogy of the string or rope around the Left shoulder stretched out to the right hand and keeping that rope or string taut in the backswing (and downswing) to maintain width. Without a string or rope I try to imagine keeping a constant distance between my left shoulder (or left arm pit) and my right wrist (or right hand) to achieve the same effect. In other words from set up and in the backswing I imagine that as my right hand goes back up the same amount and time as my left shoulder goes back down ensuring the distance between remains constant (as if the the rope were kept taut during the whole movement) . Great visual for maintaining width one of the two fundamentals of any swing.

  3. Is it just me or anyone else disgusted with the no cut tournaments the pga is going to have next year? I like competition not a “product”.

    Great content like always Russ

  4. Thank you for finally posting a video that talks about the importance of keeping the left arm straight throughout the swing. I discovered accidentally through a lot of time on the range that when I keep my left arm straight throughout the swing and apply downward pressure with the right hand my balls go straight, high, and far with very little effort. And yes, body rotation is important even if it's just the slightest rotation. I have yet to find an instructional video or a golf instructor who will give out this secret because once you understand and can apply this, many golf instructors would be out of a job. I'm 70 years old and of course keeping the left arm straight means that I won't be able to get much of a backswing rotation but I have found that it doesn't matter because proper execution of the swing results in more power without that power actually coming from any effort from me period. And a short ball going straight 150 yards into the fairway is a better shot than one going 180 yards with a slice or hook into the rough. It makes the game of golf much more enjoyable. I love your videos and they are so informative and instructive for me.

  5. 100% sure this was clickbait, and then it wasn’t… Probably the best video out there if you already know how to play a bit.

  6. In my opinion the best instruction on Youtube. No nonsense and easy to take on board. Wish I lived a bit closer to get a lesson. Great stuff Russ.

  7. When are we gonna see you do a 9 or 18 hole vlog? Preferably with tracers. You'd be amazed how much views it would get… Next step is to invite some friends to play against

  8. So that’s why there are so many different feelings for people in what makes a golf swing work, but the principal requirements are width and rotation, and having low point in front of ball for all clubs bar driver 🤔

  9. Great drill, I use it weekly to "remind" my mind to keep right wrist in position to "sweep" the ground (was a wrist roller for years with bad results) and also the palm push for depth. Other benefit was developing my left wrist awareness and stop my right wrist dominance… Thanks for these great videos

  10. Pushing the club right hand is brilliant. I was either pulling on the handle or being too passive with the right hand if anything, but wasn’t pushing with it which works. Great drill.
