I love Steve Kerr. He was what I could've been. I was a small white guy but I could shoot, not as good as Steve but I thought I was 🤣🤣. It takes that mentality to play when, like Steve, your the smallest guy on the floor 🤣😎. Hell I was living basketball through him. MJ is the goat, and Steve was a role playing shooter. And yes Craig Hodges and BJ Armstrong were that to, but I am white boy with no jumping ability nor not near the athletic ability of them. Steve was my guy. I got chills watching this. Great job,

If you want to talk about a guy who revolutionized the game… it should be Steve Kerr. Granted, Curry and Klay are a lethal 3pt combi, but if not for Kerr, they would still be getting numbers similar to when they were playing with Mark Jackson. Kerr is a 3pt guard, and he allowed Curry to roam freely. That opened up the whole 3pt era. Combining his own thoughts with Triangles, and screens and all the tricks and strategies from his predecessors in Phil and Pop… Kerr utilizes it very well. Seriously… if not for Kerr, we wouldn't be seeing the 3pt era we are seeing today.

What made Kerr good from what I understand was his confidence and ability to create for others on the break. Yes the shooting was lethal but he didn’t really get up many shots or play many minutes. He was really good at creating in that break tho and with the team they had that was very valuable

I live in Tucson where Steve Kerr is a God. He has to be one of the most beloved people in the history of our city. When I was 11 he came to Lute Olson's basketball camp to show us shooting drills. When I saw him shoot I was in awe. He still holds the NBA record for highest three point FG percentage in the history of the league. One season he went 50%, 50%, 90% but didn't quite shoot enough shots that year to get credit for that type of season.
