The Apex really are fantastic irons. My wife plays Apex '21 and I'm still playing my Apex Pro '21 for the time being. They've been very good to us.

I have apex21s. My only complaint is grip. Standard grip is too small. I will upgrade to thicker grip for this season.

Great irons build quality was sh*t loose shafts ferrules climbing the shaft , returned to Callaway twice . Should have been replaced but Callaway and Golf Galaxy wouldn't replace them. Paid $1300 in the first 5 months of owning them the were @ Callaway more then they were in my bag . Callaway and Golf Galaxy will never get any of my money ever again .
i think they are still THE IRONS for proper players. These days all gimmciks just get a lot of attention!
