A major issue is the sheer predictability of it all. The Yankees will be very good. They won’t be good enough. They have no range. It feels like the floor is getting swept in the ALCS while the ceiling is losing the ALCS in 7. No better, no worse. Zero surprises. 93-104 wins. Beat up on some central team in the DS…lose in the ALCS.
I’m a huge cubs fan but I love jomboy so much I that I watch Talkin yanks. I’m so in the point that I have NO FUCKING IDEA WHY IKF IS STARTING. Literally trade him for anything at this point, they are so right heavy lineup trade him for extra lefty. The off-season was such a fail to me because yeah you added Rodon but your bats couldn’t hit for shit in the playoffs. I can understand the yanks defending Donaldson, he has a good track record whatever. But it’s the fact that you traded for his contract, you asked for JD & IFK when nobody was expecting it. And now you don’t wanna cut hicks or Donaldson bc your gonna eat the contract but your gonna pay 6 million for IFK instead of Peraza when your paying probably paying less then a million. TRADE IFK TO THE DODGERS FUCK

Definitely push for subs more often, especially when you hit your stride during the season! You never do it, and I never noticed, and it's something that EVERY YouTuber does… but yeah, definitely start asking for subs. People never really need to because YT pushes out the new video to their feed anyway.. but if you keep asking you'll get there for sure!

I'll be honest id rather them move Bader to LF / Judge in CF and Stanton to RF if they want to play those 3 in the outfield at times.
I think the yankee might be showcasing all their IF's to stroke a deal for a quality and proven LF and or top 3 starter after the Montas' injury…that's all
I'm a Rays fan and just decided to sub. Been watching since the 2020 ALDS but over time that turned to watching out of genuine interest. I watch all your guys' other channels and the videos that come with them. Happy to support the company even though my team is a rival of yours.
I know that DJ's health is iffy and shrouded in uncertainty, but Donaldson needs to go; DJ outclasses him in every category offensively and defensively. We must get over the price paid for Donaldson, a greater chance at the World Series is far more important than squeezing the remaining value out of Donaldson. As Jomboy said, "The Yankees won't rip the band-aid off." That sums up the status quo.
IKF will be the starter.

Hope Volpe gets some run this year at the big league level. I was happy for him to spend 2/3 of the year at AAA but after watching him this spring he has impressed with his in game attributes. The kid is tuned in like the greats are and has a presence with his play on both sides of the ball.

I still don't understand after watching this… how is DJ not an opening day starter? Is there a reason why Donaldson gets the start over DJ at 3rd every day? Looking at their 2022 / Career stats, DJ seems on-par or a better choice at 3rd.

I’ve been saying this all off season. I think IKF is the starting shortstop day one. The young guys will get a chance quicker than last year but IKF starts as the guy. Unfortunately

If all these kids were untouchable for trade purposes, they should be playing. It's really that simple. IDC how much you're paying IKF, JD, and AH. If the kids are better, they should play. How did Stick build a dynasty? Playing the kids.

First off, im a phillies fan. For the first couple months in 2022, everytime i saw Didi and Odubel Herrera over young guys, i was like why do we have these guys in the lineup.. Once they DFA'd Herrera and Didi, and allowed Bryson Stott start almost every day, the phillies carried that with a Marsh trade to bring them to the World Series.. Girardi's theory of playing guys based on their paycheck did not work. If a younger player is better than your $10 million player, im sorry, you put money into a bench bat now.. IKF and Donaldson are Ls on the Yankees payroll that they are one of those teams in league that don't own up to messing up paychecks and earning playing time. So until they change their organizational philosophy of giving younger guys playing time over the overpaid veterans.

Why wouldn’t this be their lineup… basically the exact same braintrust EXACTLY THE SAME. They thought they made every mode right last year and rolled the exact same squad back. It just never screamed to me…” we need to make changes”…. Watching teams that win the World Series lately.. they all have a couple kids that come up and spark.. we always suppress that .. or at least it feel like it… not saying you roll 3 rookies to start, but can’t tell me rolling with HICKS, IKF and JD is a bad play at least to start
Great show! Still trying to figure out that IKF signing. Perraza should be our starting SS. We have a log jam of infielders. Even if you want to bring up Volpe you have to get rid of somebody. They’re clueless as far as how they treat their prospects. It seems like the roster is just a mishmash of players put together with no logic to it. Just like Jimmy said it’s a fucked up puzzle. We’ll see what Boonehead does. Hopefully we get to see the kids out there soon.
Funny how we cutted and paid Arod for not to surpass Ruth in HRs… but cant cut hicks or JD owing them less…. Boone need help with lineup

I honestly don't understand why this is still even a question. IKF has not been great. As a matter of fact he's been pretty trash. Completely disappointing. Oswaldo Cabrera has done NOTHING BUT play well. Defensively he's great and at multiple positions and his offense really started to show signs of development at the end of 2022 and even so far this spring. Peraza has done more than enough to get the chance. His numbers look good and he looks decent this spring as well. And all of this is with Anthony Volpe about to be MLB's No. 1 Prospect and at Shortstop. It's like Jake says if they are playing good, what's the problem here? Move on from IKF already, he isn't Ralph Kiner; make way for these young, great looking players and get Cabrera and Peraza and eventually Volpe on the field….

There has been zero evidence pointing to IKF starting at SS this season. Plus if he was he wasn’t awful like you say he was. Second best batting average and second best hitter with runner in scoring position plus he has the best contact rate outside of judge and he has the most steals last year. Quit bashing him just to bash him.
