Netflix Have Made A HUGE MISTAKE With Full Swing..

Netflix have made a HUGE mistake with the brand new Netflix documentary Full Swing which hit the streaming service on Feb. 15! There are a lot of mixed reviews on this and it has the golfing community split down the middle! “Full swing is crap” “Full swing is all about the money” “It was following players and not the tour” “Full swing didn’t show anything about the history of the game of golf”

We saw Full swing the brand new netflix documentary feature Brooks Koepka, Rory Mcilory, Justin Thomas, Jordan Speith, Matt Fitzpatrick, Ian Poulter and many more.

Episodes included the following

  1. My opinion after watching the trailer and seeing snippets I’ve not fully watched it yet. It definitely is for none golfers and beginners. For people who have played the game for quite some time it looks quite boring tbh

  2. I'd personally love to see Netflix do an episode next time where they follow some caddies on the PGA and LIV.. the first time around the only caddie that featured was Dahmen's…

  3. They were showing how drastically different the top 20 players and the bottom half live. Showing how different a veteran player’s life is versus a rookie’s. Personally, I loved this series and more importantly my wife who doesn’t golf/watch golf loved the series.

The fact of the matter (like it or not) is that there is a lot of money in golf / on the tour and when guys are pissed while making 600k in a long weekend they’re going to look bad.

I think they nailed the format and shouldn’t change a thing other then the players they focus on.

  4. It’s definitely not “crap”. Not your cup of tea? That’s fine. But it’s not as bad as some people are saying it is. Big surprise that people are bitching about a series online, though. Worldwide Web of Whinging. 😂

  5. Ok what you two are proposing is that the PGA has now created a 2 tier system, not good for the game… not everyone is on an equal chance now…

  6. I saw it and I would’ve liked to see them following more of the lower ranked players to see the struggles they go through rather than most of it being about the millionaires lifestyle.

  7. I disagree, I enjoyed the series and I enjoyed seeing the difference between the rookies and the senior/successful players..

  8. I watched about 5 minutes worth then decided it was a load of balls, it’s too much like reality tv and all the crap that comes with it.

  9. I enjoyed the series as a whole. Getting to know the players better was cool. Definitely can see why some would complain though.

  10. Most of the top players have a connection to private flying through companies like Net Jets. It gives lesser players something to play for as well as the pleasure of being flush with cash. To condemn these players for the lifestyle that they have earned is to justify the “everyone gets a trophy” mentality. Should you also condemn celebrities who also fly private and are well compensated for their talent. If everyone got the same benefits and compensation regardless of their skill level, where is the motivation to excel?

  11. yea would have been a lot better had they talked about HOW HARD it is to get to the PGA tour and HOW much MONEY it costs players trying to get to the Tour. I thought it was ok overall but would I watching it again…no.

  12. I watched it …
    I liked it 👍🏻
Yes, it’s about millions of dollars 💰
    Yes, they’re flying private jets
Yes, they included stars AND rookies
Yes, PGA Tour golfers ARE millionaires

But, it is what it is
… is that why you dislike it 🤷🏼‍♂️

  13. Full Swing was fantastic in that it showed behind the scenes of the tour players. Also, it accomplished the task of having the viewers wanting more!!

  14. 55 years old 30 year golfer. I loved it. Liked seeing the behind the curtain side of all the players. My wife a non-golfer also loved it! Overall think it put a great light on the tour. I hope it continues.

  15. Personally I didn't find it that bad, gave a little insight into some of the players lives. Yes they gloumourised the shit out of everything but welcome to television entertainment.

  16. You nailed it with spoiled brats comment. Your best likes were spot on! Joel my personal favorite. Kind of hard feel sorry for someone who's closet you could live in flying private. I hated the good PGA vs bad LIV. The PGA hates LIV so much it's literally stealing their format.

  17. I enjoyed it tbh. Would like more content on lower players struggles. But still good series.
But the money aspect can't be complained about. Why? I bet most of you watch football. They play around for 90 minutes and get paid shit loads. But you still watch it. If we earned good money from golf, we would fly around in private jets.
But no one complains about global elite tyrants flying around telling us not to fly to save the planet!! FYI, man made global warming is BS btw.

  18. It's a show about young filthy rich cry babies IF things didn't go according to plan …. very sad with ALL that's possible on an inside show about the greatest game ever played ….. BUT we get a little human understanding of how tough this beautiful life of professional never at home golfing life is …. and that's all it did really…. i personally wanted more about the TOUR LIFE itself…. how to prepare for steps into it…. how and who to talk to make that life even possible…. what doors needs to be knocked …. and tons of things really….

  19. I enjoyed it. You say you don’t like the millionaire life style but for any top 50 player in any sport that is what they do.

You are English. Do you think Harry Kane is out there living like a bus driver? No he is a millionaire and lives like one.

And that is what is great.

  20. um, i've never heard of 'full swing', but i suppose any publicity can only help the popularity of the sport . Especially as other sports seem to be failing at grass roots level.

  21. It was excellent and it covered a whole range of issues. No one got painted in a bad light, the series told it as it is. People live the way they do and get paid huge prize money – good for them.

  22. Loved Full Swing, my wife is a non-golfer and she loved it. We got to see a glimpse of players lifestyles that you don’t get to see.

  23. Full swing isn’t for you golfers. That’s the point. It’s for people like me who’s just got into the game or people who’ve never played before. It’s giving us a slight insight into the personalities of the game as apposed to the game itself which in turn would spark the curiosity into the game. You’re criticising something where you are clearly not the target audience, hence why it’s on Netflix and not GOLFTV. Stay in your Lane

  24. The point you miss is that those guys who make up the top 20 are there because they are consistently putting together the best results, their not there by any other means. I so agree that the series should of featured a little more on those aspiring to get on the tour and the route that involved.

  25. It was garbage. You could tell PGA Tour put the breaks on it big time. Very little info of how the tour actually works and the daily grind of playing on tour. This was just brief stories of different millionaires that happen to play golf not about golf itself.

  26. Personally flashing the private jets just to play a round is a bit shocking in this current climate when so much could be done. However, they have made a fortune and it’s theirs to blow but I would rather see the more humbled struggling person who is lower down the order like the new rookies and Joel. They say 1% make the tour but only 0.1% live the lifestyle.
