NLU Crash Course: Formby Ladies Club

Let’s kick off a new series, Crash Course, with a trip to the Formby Ladies Club near Southport, England. Soly kicked off his 10-day English golf trip here and walked away thoroughly impressed.

  1. Awesome just like the Lundin ladies club. The game isnt all about legnth. Loved your comment on Kilspindie. So true

  2. You can totally tell what era Soly and his dad watched golf. His swing is so classic and Soly’s is more modern-ish. I hope this makes sense, lol.

  3. Lovely review Chris – next time you come over to our shores look out for the Atlantic Links courses in the South West of England. From Burnham & Berrow, Saunton East & West and Royal North Devon down to St. Enodoc, Trevose & Perranporth, it’s a magic stretch of reasonably priced, hidden gems on one of the most dramatic coastlines we have. You can thank me later 😉

  4. NLU Crew- You guys are the shit. I love how you respect the game, it’s history and share gems like this. It restores my faith in the game staying relevant with younger pIayers. I stayed and played at Formby about 8 years ago and played the main course. Awesome club and members! Got in a snooker tournament with some of them and when they beat us on the last ball it was like they had won the Ryder Cup. We loved it. Hope you play Hillside, Birkdale, Lytham and St Anne’s, Southport & Ainesdale while you are there with your pops.

  5. So many hidden gems out there that we miss for a true test of golf because we just look to those big name courses.

  6. Guys go do some collabs with some other you tube golfers, it will definitely help getting your brand out and to gain some subs!

  7. I like the new series! Shoutout to your dad – I had the honor to be paired with him during the NLU Summit in Denver for the am wave, and he was an absolute class act. Cheers guys.

  8. If you haven't got a sharp short game give FLGC a miss it will eat you alive (get in the heather and you don't get out)! lol

  9. as wonderful as Ireland and in particular Scotland are for golf, England is hugely underrated
