Blake Griffin joins us as the first guest on the View From The Rafters podcast. In this episode, Blake dishes details about his Celtics bench role and the team chemistry, specifically between the “Bus 1 Crew.”
He also discusses growing up in Oklahoma City and adjusting to starting an NBA career in a big market like Los Angeles.
As a 12-year vet, Blake shares his thoughts on what makes Jayson Tatum so special and Joe Mazzulla’s leadership style.
Listeners also learn about Blake’s hobbies outside of basketball as he discusses his interest in comedy and where he gets his stand-up material from.
Blake closes out the episode sharing how Paul Pierce impacted his career, setting the record straight on his role in convincing DeAndre Jordan to stay with the Clippers during the summer of 2015 and giving his thoughts on the NBA Dunk Contest.

We are so lucky to have him for real. He has been doing very well.
''are you the father?''
Way overdue…
Now we're talking '
….from the horse's mouth .
Alot of people say he's washed up he's done I've been fan since 2012 I still have the clippers jersey from that time I like how he proves people wrong each game
Blake wanted to be a Celtic in 2016, asked his agent to make some calls.
The Male Host cuts him off a few times , rude.
Blake has already added 2-3 wins to this Celtics team this year. He's another vet presence outside of Horford that this team has needed.
Blake is funny ASF🤣🤣
Excited for the TRUTH & Toine! I’m subscribing!
Shouldve asked him about lana rhoades
You wonder why jalen brown feels disrespected in Boston . This is exactly why. Not Blake’s fault but the hosts 1 minute on if they can be a great duo nothing else on jb individually. I got news when the celtics need a boost brown goes to town
Love & respect Blake Griffin
I’ve always been a BG fan, I’m glad he’s on my team now!!!! #BleedGreen!
After watching this Blake really grew on me 🥴
Insightful interview. Knew Blake always had a certain charisma and entertaining personality about him, but didn’t know about all his other aspirations. He strikes me as someone who will probably be involved in a lot of things outside basketball when he hangs it up. Hopefully the C’s can get a chip for him this year.
The intro is way to long
I got the biggest crush on Abby 😍
Who would have guessed that Blake Griffin would one day come and be the glue guy for Boston?
Blake Griffin should give a Ted-Talk on balancing one’s ego.
I have followed Blake since his Rookie year, thrilled to have him on our team.
Just a solid player and a good guy.
This was great y'all. I wanna be friends with blake
alway been a fan of BG, glad hes on the celtics now. def see him having some big game down the stretch.
My dream job is to be in some sort of communications job for the Celtics i would do my thing if i was podcasting the Celtics players . I bleed green literally so to be able to podcast my favorite team would be amazing. No disrespect they had a few awkward pauses i would kill this job 💚
Blake has grown into such a player and team mate.
I can’t help but think that a mentor like Blake and an organisation like the Celtics is what some struggling players (eg Ben Simmons) could really benefit from.
Love Blake
Blake is so likeable! And that floor dive he took the other night against Detroit shows how much a great team player he is. Hoping for a ring for him!
giannis owns this washed bummmmmmmmmm
one of my all time favourite players. great guy.
Fantastic interview. Blake Griffin is a huge asset to the Celtics. His energy is the best. 🍀💚
Man I’m so glad Blake is on the Celtics. He was the reason I was a clippers fan during the Lob City era. The fact he’s playing for my hometown AND otw to get a chip!!!! Blessed to see it 🙏🏼
You know when your on fire just relax have fun and shred em
Sell the murch fr
Not gunna lie, I was a young Boston fan when Doc Left… and it hurt to see Pierce Ray Ray and Kevin slowly fade out…. followed Doc with my support and watched some Clipper games…. Blake is going to be wonderful for this Boston Squad. Keep working hard big man
