FIRST THINGS FIRST | “Should Love request a trade if Aaron Rodgers stays in Packers?” – Nick Wright

  1. Green Bay CHOSE Jordan Love. If Love was a FA and chose GB, it would be different. GB management needs to trade him or say good bye to future key FA’s. They’ll hesitate unless you over pay.

  2. Both sides can be right. The Packers don’t owe him anything other than the checks for the contract they gave him. But Nick is absolutely right, they should let him go if that’s what he wants to do. But they certainly don’t owe that to him… if that’s the type of crap organization they want to run, that is up to them and likely will backfire on them with signing other players.

  3. Nick's problem here is that he's acting like a petulant child and claiming that Jordan Love is some sort of victim. He's not. He's getting paid over 20 million dollars to watch and learn and practice from a Hall of Famer and then be guaranteed to be a starter on an NFL team.

  4. Love should not have drafted in the first place. The Packers had no plan and it backfired. No clue wtf they were so dead set on not drafting WRs or potential weapons for Rodgers. What a dumb situation.

  5. Nick is right and I’m a bulls fan so yk how much we don’t like Nick but nah he is absolutely right idk why they makin him seem crazy for such a simple take

  6. It’s hard to win a 3 on 1 argument even if the majority are definitely wrong. No matter how much sense nick’s argument made they just laughed it off and acted like he was crazy because they knew they had more people that agreed with them.

  7. Nick was the only one in the building during this argument that was unfazed by the heavy gas leak that was going on in the studio. So the argument is why would you play love if you have rodgers? Exactly, then why draft him in the first place.. insane

  8. I 100% agree with Nick on this one. Jordan Love has every right to go out and see if a team will pick him up. There are like 10 that NEED a qb, and Rodgers is playing diva games .

  9. SF should trade Love for Lance straight up. It's basically the same offense

  10. Why would they draft love if rodgers was steal playing at a high level ? they could’ve gotten tee Higgins who could’ve replaced devante

  11. That's why I don't like Chris and that old school way of thinking. Why move up in a draft to get a quarterback, you don't plan on playing. Jordan has every right to ask for a trade and try to make a better career for himself. Sometimes it's not about the money.

  12. I agree with Nick and the Rogers ass kissing is crazy. Just cuz you wins an MVP which is all he ever does does not mean that you shouldn't let the kid play the last few games last season

  13. What Nick is saying makes sense logically, but we all know organizations do what’s best for them. What’s best for the players always comes second to what’s best for the organization…

  14. The Packers are just being fucking stupid. What does everyone say you need to win a super bowl: a QB on his rookie contract. They are just letting his cheap rookie contract waste away. I don’t think the model of letting a guy sit for multiple years works anymore with the QB pay scale. You can have him sit 1 year max, then you are just wasting his cheap years.

  15. I figured it out there was a bit of a mix up. The question Nick was asked was "Should Jordon Love request a trade" while the question the rest were asked is "Should the Packers trade Jordon Love"

  16. The point of taking a QB as your 1st pick is to take advantage of his lower salary and build a team. By waiting so long to find out if he's any good, means you will need to over pay him to keep him or cut him and start all over again. Green Bay put themselves in the worse possible position. Rodgers doesn't seem to be all in.

  17. I love Nick. I think that any competitive person would want to get a chance to play. If he doesn't get a chance to play and doesn't ask for a trade…he may not be "that guy"
