On hardcourt, Iga can apparently only be beaten by someone who has a superb Serve and stable bullet forehands, just like Rybakina had at this year‘s AO. Coco just cannot keep up that power, especially not when Iga is on a superb run. And I don‘t even know if Iga can be beaten on clay currently…

Coco has improved on her game. She is hitting returns with more power and not just lobing balls back or playing defensive. She needs to improve on her returns though by countering every return with power and not playing defense. Notice how all igas return shots are hit with power thats what coco should do at for every return. She did this in this game but that was not enough.

Very strong first set by Gauff. Obviously, she has worked on her game. Her forehand looks way better than last year. Serve seems to be improved as well. Even footwork looks slightly more agile. She gets closer to the very best players. Jabeur and Garcia are not that much stronger anymore probably.
Plus she is still the youngest of the top 10. I predict her to win her first grand slam tournament before turning 20.
wonder if COco strategy will work for her by letting Iga win this small tournament so she can save energy to beat Iga in all the GS. Coco looks like she had this game. fortunately Iga still came through to win. GO Iga
The umpire… gosh! It was the worst accent I've ever hear of Iga's name. Such incompetence! If I was in her place, that would have certainly put me off.
