If its me, I keep the whole defense together. Larry O, Spillane, Edmunds, Kazee, Sutton. The defense was not the problem last year.
Not saying anything bad cause I'm a die hard I bleed Black n Yellow but we need to do something this off-season and not just stand pat thinking we're good enough to compete with the other Playoff contenders seriously right now we're not their roster wise we need help at key positions and the Offensive Tackle and Corner back positions have to be addressed or were gonna be sitting at 7 to 9 wins again
If you let Larry O walk , anything else gotta be an upgrade over him. No point in taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back gambling on a rookie to start in his place. We went from last against the run to top 10 with that unit together
He is scheduled to coach OLB and Jerry O, the inside LB. The same was said about Grady Brown. Now, he is being spoken as a DC in a year or two. He is not there to replace Flores because Flores was a former head coach/defensive coordinator/assistant. And whose to say that they will not hire another defensive mind/set of eyes.
The steelers need to resign sutton and Edmunds
The free agent the Steelers need is Aziz Al-Shaair. This dude is the 49ers third linebacker and flies to the ball. I’d make him the priority. Edmunds from Buffalo is overrated and expensive. I’m lukewarm on Joe Long. Need an off ball linebacker first thing. Have a number in mind for Cam Sutton. If he wants shut down corner money, let him try to find it.
We are talking about Aaron Curry? He’s the linebackers coach. We really are in a period of nothing going on
Baltimore Ravens will snag Devin Bush on the real cheap as #3 ILB. Now he will need to keep that spot. But coming it would be his. Devin would be excellent temp fix in emergency(injury).
