Being a Golf Digest Hot List tester is every diehard golfer’s dream assignment. At the 2023 Hot List summit in Maricopa, Ariz., our documentary cameras followed Hollywood actor Michael Peña (4 hcp) and retired NFL running back Danny Woodhead (+3 hcp) through their journeys as new members of the Hot List player panel. In a week full of camaraderie, laughs, bandaged hands and launch-monitor readings, our two protagonists learned that testing clubs is hard work, and that there is more great new equipment in the world than they could ever have imagined.
