BYU doesn’t want Utah. And unfortunately BYU is super gracious so they won’t openly oppose Utah joining. But Utah fans are some of the most toxic in the country. Utah would compete directly with BYU in terms of viewership, recruiting, etc

DFW would do a better job than KC for the tournament. It would be closer to many of the schools. Texas Tech , Baylor, and TCU are all basically based in DFW. Your also closer to Houston. Kansas fans would travel anywhere, so you really only lose Iowa State, but that's a good trade if you get the Texas schools to show up big. And they would.

AS for Fresno they are a pretty good team as for their QB's Trent Dilfer, Billy Volek, David Carr, Tom Brandstater and Derek Car. Kevin Sweeny and Jake Haener among others. Fresno has had good football teams for many years I have to admit ,ad I am an Aztec fan. we do not like Fresburg. But got to give it its due.
I would liken the Big XII tourney in Kansas City to the Colege World Series in Omaha. Both are GREAT atmospheres, and I've always enjoyed both!!

Everybody keeps saying the Big 12 wants a Pacific time zone. The four corners doesn't do that! Those schools are all in the Mountain time zone. Want the Pacific time zone, then you have to go to the coast.
