  1. Hey I have a steel shafter ping eye2 lob wedge and the shaft is bent. Is there any way I can bend it back without hurting the club?

  2. At the PGA TOUR Superstore where I have my club work done, they told me that they couldn't make any swing weight alterations!!!

  3. If they don't play right they didn't do a good job. Swingweight off is bad enough. Lie angle off is worse.

  4. Wonderful video ! I’ve had a similar dodgy fit out with a Titleist order in Sydney where the irons were cut 1” shorter 7 iron was 36” and the weight of the 4 iron shaft was 100gms instead of 94 (AMT black shafts where each iron go progressively up by 3gms). This was a placed order not a fitting day order. I’m now able to check the build. Unfortunately, a general golfer does not have equipment or know how to check these faults.

  5. I can tell you if you buy your clubs from PGA Superstore they will custom fit you for FREE! Extensions, Lie angle, build up original grips ALL for free. Golf Galaxy wanted to charge me $160 for those services with a newly purchased iron set. Oh Yeah, PGA Superstore also offers a 90 day playability guarantee and will give you a FULL credit if you decide the clubs are not for you and let you pick out another brand of equal value. Shawn, Kelly and Richard are absolute Pros at the location in Shenandoah Texas.

  6. Great video! 👍🏻
As an amateur DIY club maker, I’ve often wondered about this.
I have also had a “not so good” club fitting experience at one of these two stores.

    But I have another question
(perhaps you can do a video about this)

I put an old lob wedge back in my bag this week and I notice it has a little bit of rust from sitting idle for a couple years.
What’s the easiest way to clean up iron heads? … short of a complete refinishing? Or is refinishing the only way to get irons like new again?

I’ve watched your “Preseason tips” video about using fine grit sandpaper to remove the rust. But any other tips?
Would appreciate your help with this.

  7. If anyone is as fussy as I am, they'd be going back. Lie angle and swing weight is something I am very sensitive about.

  8. Again, great video AJ. I agree it depends on who is doing the work and less about the overall company. The guy I trusted to do work was at Golf Galaxy and moved to the PGA Superstore. I continue to go to him for trust. If I am out of state and need repair on the fly, I go to the shop to ask the specific repair person lots of questions. That way I get an idea if I can trust them and they understand I will scrutinize the work. As always, your videos are about questions we all have and would like to know but not willing to test. Thanks!

  9. Great video once again! I think more people need to be aware that setting aren't always perfect and learn to check (or ask). I've had a lot of bad experiences, both buying used irons at golf stores and having them custom built at the factory. I finally bought my own SW scale and loft/lie checker.

  10. I am a club repair tech and my question for you is, how do you determine final length of a club if they have the Arccos sensors in the grip cap?

  11. I always get my grips logo down just to eliminate the chance of them being misaligned. Like you said a different store on a different day with a different employee could yield different results. Would be nice to do it myself but I have no space for any of the equipment needed 😞

  12. Excellent video! It confirms my experiences with these stores. Wildly inconsistent! Kinda also explains how I found your channel. Because of these stores inconsistency and the expense of golf equipment I’ve considered trying to learn more with a mind towards doing some of these things myself or at least be more informed as to what to look for and questions to ask when I do need to go to one of these stores.

  13. So I can understand the rating, I must start by saying your channel gives me great confidence when assembling clubs, Thanks for the review, who would you go to if you lived in Phoenix/Scottsdale to have this work done?

  14. Club repair pgass vs gg= Just no. How do you give a passing score when you didn't get what you asked for. Close is not OK. Be specific but ultimately no one will look after your clubs like yourself. It's a great time to learn how to do new things.

  15. Dude i wish I was able to just damage my club on purpose and redo everything after getting it fixed. This is awesome man… 🤙🏼🤙🏼

  16. Good morning AJ. Question. What make True Temper Gold .370 one club $350 and another True Temper Gold .370 $35.00.

  17. Great video, in the case of swing weight and lie angle miss, how is this translated into carry yards? Or offline hits? Are we losing much?

  18. Great video! I don’t have a PGA store near me, but GG is 2 miles away…They recently did a club for me and did a great job…I’ve had no issues with them so far…But, I think I’ll be doing my own clubs for the near future due to your sage guidance!
